Weather you believe in all the hype about area 51 being a secret base or not. this game explains what it might be like inside area 51 if it is one big conspiracy. It covers pretty much every "cover up" out there from crop circles to cameras in light fixtures in our homes. i get into this sci-fi stuff so im rating this game high. The graphics are really amazing, i found myself stopping to check out the scenery more then once. I found this game to be very suspenseful, you never know if a mutant is going to jump out and attack you from every dark corner. and most of the time they do. if all you have is a little pistol it gets pretty crazy. What i liked about the mutants is they will actually try to dodge your bullets and not just run straight at you blindly. It makes shooting them in a dark room even harder because all you can see is there beady green eyes staring you down while there chasing you. The story line i thought was kind of weak, it seems they were going with one thing and got sidetracked a little, but there is so much action you don't really notice. The value on the single player mission isn't all that great, i still haven't found all the secret files yet it just kind of got boring to me, it's like been there done that. Anyway though for the first playthough i really liked it alot. The multiplayer of area 51 has a nice old-school feel to it. alot of newer games that came out recently depend heavily on grenades and rockets, most of the time your dead before you know anyone is there. Area 51 is all about gun fights, and thats what i like. you do get a few grenades but even if you manage to hit someone with one it won't kill them. It's just good old shootem' up. I like the duel weilding, it helps with that high score. you can really f*ck sh*t up with the duel shotguns. :) It is very fast paced so you can't take your eyes off the screen for a second. Iv been killed 3 times in a row and i just looked away to take a drink of my beer. Anyway i can see myself playing this game online for a long time and ill be giving it a high value score. So even if you don't like sci-fi games like this, i think it would be worth buying just for the online play. It is a really fun game and i enjoy it.
