With a name like Area 51 you would think the game would be exciting, but is it?

This game isnt bad, but its deffinitly lacking in certain areas. The graphics are pretty good, as is the sound, but everything else just seems a bit tacky. The worst thing about the game, which has to be said, is deffinitly the gameplay, after 2 hours of playing this game i was contemplating scuicide, but to all the readers of this reviews delight i didnt go through with it :)

The general game controls are well layed out, but for the gameplay itself, its less than brilliant. The whole game feels like a DOOM crossed with Far Cry, but doesnt match up to the 2. The aliens are no fun to kill what so ever and the weird mutant mode is just stupid, not at all like the special mode in far cry. It also has to be said that there seems to be little variety in maps and the serious lack of guns doesnt help the game either. I personally found using the hand gun more fun than the machine gun for sme odd reason, but that might just be me.

The multiplayer gameplay isnt to bad, but the lack of weapons and repetative maps takes away alot of fun that could have been there.

This game is deffintly not a buy, as it gets boring very quickly, so take m advice and rent it first. If you have any questions about this game, or any others i have reviewed please feel free to send me a message and ill get back toyou ASAP.
