A game targeted for youngsters but that any adult would find a lot of fun too!

Army Men: Soldiers of Misfortune is a pretty decent game, actually! It's obviously targeted at a younger audience and was produced by a company I've never heard of before. It got some pretty bad reviews, but I had a fun time of it. It boils down like this. You are Timmy, a young kid who notices a lot of his tan coloured army soldiers have gone missing. So, your imagination shrinks you down to their size and you set off on multiple missions on the side of the dark green army soldiers, combating the mischievous ways of the missing tan soldiers. You start off in Timmy's bedroom, play 5 missions there, then move on to the kitchen where you play another 5 missions, and ultimately end up in the backyard for the last 5 missions. Some missions are not too difficult but there are others that can take quite a few tries to finally beat. So, 15 missions of varying difficulty is a pretty decent sized game. The best part I liked though, was the variety of missions. No two missions were ever the same, there was always a unique objective to each one. Timmy has a number of weapons at his disposal that you find scattered around the environments and in each mission there is usually at least one vehicle you can make use of (either a jeep or a tank). Two missions even have you flying a plane! As for graphics, they were good, but not great. They could have been polished a bit more but really, there was nothing wrong with them at all. The controls were pretty simple to grasp and there were really no issues I could think of there. The only problem I had with the game was the speed. If the game could have been sped up a bit that would have made it 10 times better. Timmy didn't move too fast, which made those long treks across the backyard seem to take forever! Most times it wasn't bad though, but that really would have made this game almost faultless, at least to me. I think anybody would have fun playing this game and although it's not a blockbuster that you should pay $50 or $60 for, it would be a solid additions to anybody's collection.
