This game is leaps and bounds better than the first and the first was awesome. Not very many gave the first game a chance because of the short story and somewhat poor gunplay which felt clunky and weak because of the aim and amount of bullets it required to down bad guys. It really wasnt bad, most people just tried to play it like a generic third person shooter when in reality the game requires supress and flank maneuvers to be performed by two smart and tactical players. Because of its criticisms that it recieved they then designed this game to have more bullet damage causing enemies to be downed faster however they now throw a TON of enemies at you at once to still give players a challenge, and challenging it is, especially on the Contractor difficulty. The story is still short but the upside is it now contains morality choices (Good and Bad, or Bad and Worse) for the two players which can give you a reason to play through again easily doubling your playtime. These descisions are fun because you find both players discussing what to choose as the descision have consequences such as obtaining large sums of cash or unique weapons and parts. Also the game ending descision is Rad but I wont spoil it.

The graphics are very impressive, which is great because the demo felt a little more pixelated which got me worried, however this is not the case for the retail version. The game has a very dark and dirty look with stunning environmental detail. You will be fighting in places like collapsing buildings and a torn apart zoo with amazing and explosive visuals.

The weapon customization is much more in-depth and they added weapon graphics like camo patterns which wasnt present in the first. They have also added scopes and silencers which can be taken off in the midst of battle to handle different situation appropriately. This time around you are able to swap out your sniper rifle for an extra assault rifle or shotgun, and you can also pick up dead eniemies weapons of the ground allowing you to carry 4 weapons at once. All of these things you were not able to do in the first game. Upon completing the game you will unlock more goodies such as better armor and skins as well as a BIG head mode and unlimited ammo mode.

The story is very vague but if your smart you can figure it out. Salem, Rios and JB are pretty much boneheads and accept a mission without asking the reasons why they were doing it. They're sent in to Shanghi to plant small beacons throughout the city. Salem, Rios, JB and Murry are oblivious to the real reason why they are getting paid to plant these devices, with only the thought of a big fat paycheck on there minds, they continue with the mission without asking questions. Little do they know, they are being played, and these beacons are really being used as homing beacons for an incoming missile strike on the city. The rest I will leave to you to find out.

Overall the is a great game and with Gamespots current trade in offer as of right now (jan 18th) you can pick it up for $20 with trade in so hurry. That's a steal because this game is a great cooperative tactical shooter with tons of Great Fun Action and a fun Multiplayer to boot. The only downside is that it has a short campaign, however most shooters nowadays contain only about 10 hours of singleplayer, I think I beat Modern Warfare 2 in about 7-8 hours on Veteran. However you can playthrough again to experience the different morality choices and easily double your playing time, I myself am actually on my 5th playthrough cause its just that fun. With Superb Visuals, Fantastic Gunplay and Coop, this game is an overall fantastic experience. Buy this Game now.
