Army of two is back!!

User Rating: 8 | Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel PS3

Army of two the Devils Cartel is a good example for developers on how to do co-op this series started co-op and is now coming back to show people how it's done playing as alpha and bravo two new characters this is the first time you don't play as the original people which at first was a crazy ideal but after beating the game two times you really get more attached to these two a lot more than you think not because I've played it a whole lot by the time me and my army of two brother completed it on the first go we like Alpha and bravo more thanks to their personalities of each other such as Alpha being more calm and collected in tough situations and the thinker of the two always thinking of the mission and how to approach it in the smartest most tactical way. As for Bravo he is more of a loose cannon type of guy he doesn't like waiting for permission to engage combat and often loses his temper but don't worry you put these two together they make a very destructible deadly team to be messed with.

*The story* by far the best in the series having a few twist to make longtime fans say oh my God or no way at key parts of the story line but also it feels like a reboot in a way with the fact of two new characters taking the main spotlight and watching them fight the Mexican Cartel all over Mexico were trying to complete the main mission it often feels like a Die-hard/expendables type of movie but your plan it.

*The gameplay* this is the Godfather of great co-op games in my opinion so this one had a lot to prove and it did keeping simple but yet fun co-op keys such as breaching doors together or helping each other get to higher ground are all really cool but the moments that you can push a broken car while shooting and trying to cover your partner are incredibly fun to play and to watch if that doesn't help you can always pick up a shield and use it to cover you and your co-op buddy while pushing forward so they definitely kept some of the basics from old games and added some really nice new ones you put that in with a very nice mission set up you are never doing the same thing over and over always moving forward one missing might have you fighting your way into a hotel only to have it blow up and fall from the inside To being chased by a armored truck missions are crazy with epic movie like moments mix that in with a very solid polished feel of controls and soothing mechanics (such as blind fire. Aiming and shoothing. And hip fire control) alongside with a very nice customization of weapons(different scopes. Magazines. Stocks. and more) being able to customize your character with different tactical gear and Customizable Mask it all adds to the replay value.

*The graphics* looking very very nice with the support of frostbite 2 that powered battlefield 3 the character models and environments all look really nice with good detail in Lighting effects and animations of the characters perform in co-op actions and regular combat and as for the cut scenes the characters look really awesome with their gear on making it feel like a action movie the whole time the explosions and destructible environment really help so off the graphics with frostbite 2 alongside the sound effects of guns and the environment being destroyed in more than a few key moments will leave you with a oh snap!

overall I give this game a total of 8/10
