i see the benefit of the ssd but unless you can connect an ext hdd via usb 3 then the 12 gb space will just not be enough. we havent seen the full specs so lets not judge yet. this is sony, not microsoft.

Really this is marketed toward the people that have come in on the tail end of this generation looking for an affordable way to catch up on console exclusives. It's a solid move.

That will be probably allow 1 game to be downloaded. I have a 120GB and it's still not enough.

Buy this console, never unbox it. Keep the receipt with it and in 10 years you can sell it for up to 10 times what you spent on it.. That's how it works with the latest skus months before the next gen system is released.

Seriously, I can't defend this. 12GB is nothing. Look at MGS4 when it came out, it had a over 4 GB install, most PS3 games install to the hard drive so with 12GB they would run out of space in a real hurry.

Casual gamers aren't going to know they can switch out the hard drive. God Sony stop being stupid, just lower the PS3 price to $199, stop being greedy.
