I'm not surprised. I drive the Pittsburgh area a lot and everyone jay walks. Probably learned it from the parents.

While that is unfortunate and I wish her a speedy recovery I don't think that it's fair to blame the game for the incident. People young and old should be taught to be more mindful of their surroundings.

right.....blame the game.......to start, its not the games fault that your daughter got hit by a car. Your daughter should well know to pay attention to her surroundings, especially when crossing the street. Yes, it is a very unfortunate accident that your daughter has gotten into, but at her age, she should well know the dangers of not paying attention when crossing the street

Agreed. The user needs to be more responsible, particularly since the game warns the player to be mindful of his or her surroundings when it boots.

Eventually, she would have mindlessly crossed a busy highway with or without a game. You just can't protect these types of people from absolutely everything, you know. If it wasn't a highway, it would have been trying to get a piece of bread out of the bottom of a toaster with a fork.

Yep, make sure you blame the game and not the stupidity of your child. Or even your own stupidity. Don't blame those.

This Mom needs to teach her child about safety and awareness. People were hit by cars before Pokemon GO. Stupidity was the cause.

If you have to be told not to play this game while driving, or to be aware of your surroundings when entering the street, then you're the problem, not the game.

15 years old? Completely their fault, if at 15 years old you're crossing a major highway during rush hour to play a game whatever happens is your own fault. In no way the game's fault, completely hers. People who do stupid things need to accept responsibility when bad things happen.
