@CyberKlown28 You do realize that the DS still has over three years to go, and that's AFTER the 3DS takes over. The PS2 can still continue to sell thru 2014. I mean, it IS entirely possible. Oh, and @orb_03_2006... Obvious troll is obvious. :P

Only reason I purchased a PS2 was for Smackdown vs. Raw.I wanted a great wrestling game and Gamecube and Xbox did not have any worth a plug Nickel.I still own all 3 consoles and play old games on a regular basis and believe it or not they all 3 still work perfectly including my old Xbox LOL.

The DS is catching up in sales, cheers to a new #1 when it surpasses the PS2.

While the PS2 is a great console, one of the things that has made it last as long as it has, and continues to make it popular, is its large and varied game library. I think only the PC has more games for its platform than the PS2 does, and developers were still releasing games for it as late as 2008. The vast majority of gamers buy a specific console for the games they want to play on it, and a lot of the gamers that had a PS2 still think it had some of the greatest games of all time.

The Ps2 is my favorite console of all time and I doubt that I will change my mind in the future.

Ummm.... I don't understand this. Shouldn't Sony have focused fully on the PS3? Maybe if they had, they wouldn't still be playing catchup to the Wii and Xbox. Just a thought. But still, good on Sony for making a system last for so long. 10 years is a long time and 150 mil is a big number. Although I don't know why anyone is still buying PS2's.

Last generation was so much more competitive than it is now. The PS2 truly was one of the best consoles out there. I'm actually kinda shocked that it hadn't hit the 200 million mark over these past ten years.
