4 Advanced Stats that show how Uzi is the best AD Carry at Worlds
With the finals approaching Royal has made it off the back of Uzi. Here are some advanced stats that show his strength.

Royal's path to the finals has been hard fought, winning groups by one game then going to five games against both EDG and OMG. At the center of this underdog run has been Uzi, the only returning member from last season's Royal. And like last year, Uzi is at the center of Royal's strategy, often picking compositions that rely on him carrying his team. However, when looking at basic statistics like KDA and GPM, Uzi doesn't look as great as the Samsung White players.
As you can see here, Samsung White's dominance has just placed them at the top of KDAs for all positions. And while this shows their dominance of the tournament, it would be a stretch to call every player of SSW the best at their position. These basic statistics like KDA and GPM are heavily influenced by winning, especially stomping, and relate more team performance than really individual performance.
So, in order to look more at individual performance we made some advanced stats using the extra data we got from Riot's extended match histories. These revealed Uzi's dominance and his importance to his team.
1) Player's total gold compared to their opponent over time.
This graph shows Uzi's dominant lane phase. We put together the best 'laning' ADCs by this metric in the above graph, and Uzi had the most consistent and highest lead in the first 15 minutes at about 10% extra gold than his opposing ADC. imp on the other hand had a lead but not as significant as Uzi until his team started dominating dragons and team objectives around the 13-14 minute mark.
2) Team's Gold advantage at 10 minutes broken down by player
While the first graph showed Uzi's dominance over other AD Carries, this really shows how Uzi (and Zero) have been carrying SHR in the early game. All of SSW were positive, allowing for more pressure throughout the team as all lanes were dominant. On the other hand, Uzi and Zero were the only positive members of SHR, as their solo lanes and jungle tended to get slightly behind early game.
3) Uzi's strong damage to champions and DMG per Gold
This stat we crafted is looking at the ratio of Damage to champions to Gold. The idea is who uses their gold most efficiently to fulfill their objective of doing the most damage to champions. Despite being 4th, Uzi looks really good in this table because he is able to scale his damage to meet his high gold. As we can see most of the people who top this chart are low ranking in gold (4th, 11th, 12th, 15th, etc.). Uzi on the other hand, has really high GPM (2nd to imp), yet also has really high Damage to Champions per minute (2nd to Deft). Uzi is funnelled a lot of gold on his team (as we will see in the next graph), but he uses it well.
4) Uzi's takes a high percentage of his team's gold.
The last graph is a stat we have covered a few times before. If you want to read more about the methodology should click this link. But what this shows is how core Uzi is to his team, they funnel their gold into him. This can also be seen by Corn's picks, he focuses on support type champions such as Lulu, Orianna, and Zilean.
Uzi is the core of this team, and while his KDA might say imp is better than him, I think these advanced stats show how Uzi has carried his team to the finals and is the best AD Carry at Worlds.
