4 New Pokemon Revealed for Sun/Moon; Two of Them Are Sand Castles

A boxing crab, a weird bear, and two sand castles make up the newly revealed Pokemon.

More Pokemon have been revealed for the upcoming Sun and Moon, and some of them may cause you to raise an eyebrow. There's a boxing crab with a black eye, a weird bear with paper coming out of its behind, and two sand castles.

The Pokemon Company released a video, showing off the new Pokemon and their abilities. The first is Crabrawler, a Fighting type that has the Hyper Cutter and Iron Fist abilities. It's described as "a Boxing Pokemon that really hates to lose" and "can be found clinging to buildings with its powerful pincers that also pack a powerful punch, or gathering around trees in search of Berries, its favorite food."

Now Playing: Pokemon Sun/Moon - New Pokemon Trailer

The second revealed Pokemon is Sandygast, a pile of sand with a dang shovel in its head. Yes, I'm completely serious. It's a Ghost/Ground-type Pokemon that utilizes the Water Compaction ability. It evolves into a proper sand castle called Pallossand, which is also a Ghost/Ground type. These may sound like dumb Pokemon, but their descriptions are pure nightmare fuel. Sandygast appears when "the grudges of fallen Pokemon soak into the sand after battle, and its tunnel-like mouth can suck the vitality from people and Pokemon." Palossand draws unsuspecting Pokemon into its body with a sand vortex and sucks their life force dry.

The last Pokemon revealed is Stufful, the first form of Bewear, the bear with the lethal hugs. It's a Normal/Fighting type that uses the Fluffy and Klutz abilities. It's described as small with extraordinary strength, and unlike its hug-loving evolution, it "dislikes being touched and will flail its arms in protest." For some reason, it has what appears to be a piece of paper protruding from its rear. You can see all of the new Pokemon in the video at the top of this article.

You can see all of the revealed Pokemon for Sun/Moon, including a couple that resemble the iconic Pikachu, through the links below.

So Stufful actually had a product tag on it's leg? Is it a legitimate stuffed animal that has come to life? How does that species propagate? Go to Walmart and buy out the other similar looking Stuffuls and animate them through some dark ritual? I would think the stores are going to run out of that style stuffed animal at some point.

Another bad set of Pokemon. This gen is by far the worst yet.

@darksouls: are you a "gen wunner" that think everything after the first 151 are bad?

@Squire_Ramza: I'm someone who always favors the new gen but pretends to be a genwunner because I don't want to get in an argument where I'm repeatedly just called an ignorant bastard and child without any reasonable evidence or acceptance of people liking different things.

@Squire_Ramza: Even Gen 1 had some head scratchers. Though, whenever I see Pokemon that are just random objects (sandcastles, chandeliers, a sword, freaking key rings), I think it waters down the already huge pool of Pokemon. I've never met a person who has used a Klefki in earnest.

@Squire_Ramza: No, I've liked pretty much every generation except this one and most of Gen 6's Pokemon.

This is obviously an infringement upon my Crab-bra product, no matter what the health department says.
