Fox7Austin reports that the heist took place at 1 AM on Sunday morning. The burglars made off with more than 200 cards, some of which were valued at more than $5,000 each.
According to the Pat's Games Facebook page, the alleged thieves broke into the store by ripping off the front door with a water meter key. After getting the door opened, they needed just 20 seconds to steal the cards.
The Austin Police Department is currently investigating, Pat's said, noting that the authorities even assigned a Magic player on staff to the case. Pat's has also shared the surveillance video from the break-in to help police find the parties responsible and hopefully have the merchandise returned.
I have to give Kudos to the Austin Police Department they put a Magic Player on the case even tho he usually just does residential burglaries
