Acclaim announces two for the Game Boy Advance

Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 and Jeremy McGrath Supercross World are headed to Nintendo's upcoming handheld.

Comments

Acclaim has announced that it is bringing both Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 and Jeremy McGrath Supercross World to the Game Boy Advance. Dave Mirra 2 is the follow-up to the original Dave Mirra game, which appeared on the Game Boy Color late last year. Supercross World will mark the first time Acclaim has brought its motocross series to a handheld.

No official details have been released regarding either game. If last year's Game Boy Color version of Freestyle BMX is any indication, the sequel for the Game Boy Advance should include the same combo-based trick mechanics established by Activision's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise. Acclaim's previous Jeremy McGrath games placed a strong emphasis on racing, but no details regarding the Game Boy Advance version have been announced. We will have much more on both of Acclaim's Game Boy Advance titles from E3.
