Activision to publish The Simpsons Wrestling

Activision announced today that it has signed a deal with Fox Interactive that will allow it to publish The Simpsons Wrestling for the Sony PlayStation in the US and Canada.

"The Simpsons is a property that enjoys phenomenal success across several entertainment mediums, including interactive entertainment," said Kathy Vrabeck, executive vice president, worldwide publishing and global brand management, Activision. "The acquisition of this game reinforces our strategy of delivering products based on powerful, recognizable brands."

The Simpsons Wrestling for the PlayStation is a humorous fighting game that features all the characters from the popular animated television series. The Simpsons Wrestling is currently scheduled for release on April 3.
