Ahead Of Black Friday 2017, You Can Get A PS4 Now For $200

Avoid the holiday rush and get a 1 TB PS4 Slim at a discount now.

Black Friday 2017 is quickly approaching, but you won't have to wait until the big shopping day to take advantage of some of the discounts on offer. That's especially true if you're in the market for a new PS4, which you can already find on sale at some stores.

Ahead of Black Friday, many retailers have begun selling the standard 1 TB PS4 Slim at a discount. GameStop and Best Buy have the console on sale for $200, while Amazon and Walmart are both selling it for a dollar cheaper, at $199. This console normally retails for $300 and doesn't come bundled with any games.

Now Playing: The History of Black Friday

This is the lowest price you'll find on a new PS4 at any of the major retailers this Black Friday, but it isn't the best deal that will be available. That distinction may go to Kohl's. For every $50 you spend at the chain, you'll get $15 in Kohl's Cash, so picking up a $200 PS4 there will get you $60 in what are, effectively, limited-time gift cards. This deal will be available on Black Friday, and you'll have to use the Kohl's Cash you earn between November 26 and December 6.

If you can wait a few more days to purchase a PS4, you'll find a similar incentive to pick one up at GameStop. The game retailer will give away a $50 gift card when you purchase the $200 system on Black Friday. GameStop will also have the 4K-capable PS4 Pro on sale for $350, according to its Black Friday ad. That's the only PS4 Pro deal that has been announced so far; your only other option will be to pick the console up at its standard $400 price (or $450 for the special-edition Destiny 2 and Star Wars Battlefront II models).
