Alien: Covenant Prologue Video Picks Up Where Prometheus Left Off
See what a couple of Prometheus characters got up to after the movie ended.
With the release of Alien: Covenant fast approaching, and today being Alien Day, 20th Century Fox has released a new short that serves as another prologue for the upcoming film.
Spoilers for Prometheus follow below.
The two-and-a-half minute video above features the two survivors of Prometheus, David and Elizabeth Shaw. Shaw repairs David and the damage he suffered toward the end of that movie, and he in turn puts her into stasis as they make the long journey toward the Engineers' homeworld.
At the end, their ship arrives on (presumably) that planet and seems to be met by a massive crowd of beings. The video concludes with an ominous quote from Ozymandias, "Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair."
That final shot appears to connect to a Covenant image we saw released recently, which showed pods being dropped from a spacecraft.
Beyond Covenant--which releases on May 19, director Ridley Scott has plans for even more Alien movies. That includes one, Alien: Awakening, that will take place between Prometheus and Covenant.
