All of the Nintendo Direct Switch Game Release Dates and Announcements
Payday 2, a standalone dock, and more surprises from the April 2017 Nintendo Direct.
During today's Nintendo Direct, in addition to the promised new details about Arms and Splatoon 2, we also received a downpour of new information about game release dates and details for the Nintendo Swtich.
Here's a quick recap:
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe | April 28 -- Nintendo says this will have more characters, carts, and tracks unlocked from the beginning than any other Mario Kart game (which is a good idea, given this is a re-release).
- Ultra Street Fighter II | May 26 -- Will include an HD graphics mode as well as an original pixelated graphics setting.
- Includes two new fighters: Evil Ryu and Violent Ken
- Minecraft | May 11
- More Neo Geo games on the way, Samurai Shodown on the way to Switch next.
- Sonic Forces | Holiday 2017
- Sonic Mania | Summer
- Project Mekkura | Summer 2017 (via the Nintendo eshop)
- Fate/Extella | July 25
- Disgaea 5 Complete | May 23
- Puyo Puyo Tetris | Demo for the game is available on the Nintendo eshop now.
- Monopoly | Fall 2017
- Sine Mora Ex | Summer 2017
- Battle Chasers Nightwar | Late Summer 2017
- Payday 2 | 2017
- Namco Museum | Summer 2017
- Standalone Switch Dock | May 19
Separately, Nintendo also revealed that Arms is launching June 16 and Splatoon 2 is heading to Switch on July 21.
