New Xbox One and PC games were revealed during X019 alongside a lot for Game Pass and xCloud.
X019, Microsoft's annual celebration for all things Xbox, runs through this weekend in London, but the bulk of its news and announcements have already happened. Microsoft hosted an Inside Xbox event on November 14 that was livestreamed, and it was a bunch of new game announcements, among other things, and we've got a full recap for you.
One of the biggest pieces of news is the reveal that Halo Reach is coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection next month on both Xbox One and PC--marking the first part of the Collection to release on computers. However, Rare, Obsidian, and several other major studios announced brand-new games that are currently scheduled to release on Xbox One (or potentially Scarlett and PC) in 2020 and beyond. During X019, Microsoft also revealed over a dozen titles coming to Xbox Game Pass--ranging from the beloved Yakuza franchise to long-awaited indie games. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gets A New Trailer
X019 kicked things off with a new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and it's very cute. The trailer sees a young girl imagining herself as a Jedi and the strangers she encounters play along--pretending to be Force Pushed back and acting like Stormtroopers that she effortlessly swats away. Fallen Order releases on Xbox One, PS4, and PC tomorrow.
Rare Announces A New Game
The developer behind Sea of Thieves, Rare, announced a brand-new game today: Everwild. Everwild is the third title to come from the studio, and it appears to be some sort of Journey-like adventure game where you explore a beautiful world and discover magical moments with the help of other players. Rare said Everwild is still early in development and will continue to be developed alongside new updates for Sea of Thieves.
Obsidian Announces A New Game
Obsidian Entertainment just released The Outer Worlds--a Fallout: New Vegas-like game in space that has been met with widespread critical acclaim. However, the studio is already looking forward and announced a new game during X019. Called Grounded, the new survival game puts you into a "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" scenario, where you play as miniature children in someone's backyard.
Play As A Ghost Rider In The Wild West
Raw Fury had a new game to announce as well: West of Dead. The western-themed twin-stick shooter stars a Ghost Rider-looking figure, a man with a skull head that's on fire. Stylized to look like a comic book, West of Dead takes place in Purgatory, Wyoming in the year 1888. If you're curious to try it out, the open beta for West of Dead is available on Xbox One right now.
Bleeding Edge Gets A Release Date
Ninja Theory--the developed behind Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice--revealed that its upcoming melee-focused, hero-based multiplayer game, Bleeding Edge, is releasing early next year. Bleeding Edge is scheduled to release on March 24, 2020. The game is now available for pre-order as well, and buying the game now gives you access to the closed-beta early.
Life Is Strange Dev Reveals New Game
During X019, Dontnod announced Tell Me Why. The new narrative-focused title features a playable transgender main character, a rarity in video games. Taking place in a small town in Alaska, Tell Me Why follows the "true-to-life" story of twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan as they learn more about their difficult childhood. All chapters are scheduled to release in Summer 2020.
Halo Reach Is Coming To Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Currently, Halo: The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. Starting December 3, Halo Reach will be a part of that collection as well. The game will be available in 4K on PC and Xbox One X.
Yakuza Coming To Xbox One
Next year, three Yakuza games are coming to Xbox One via Game Pass. In early 2020, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be available for Xbox One via Game Pass. An exact release date was not announced during X019.
