Team captain and the team's jungler, Alvar 'Aranae' Martin AleƱar announced on Twitter that the players are no longer associated with Alternate. The LCS spot belongs to the players however, so the team as we know it will return to the competition, but the Alternate name will not be present.
So officially we are no longer a part of Alternate. The players hold the LCS spot since Alternate was only a title sponsor for us.

Their final appearance as Alternate was at the recent Battle of the Atlantic showmatch series, where they defeated their opponents in Counter Logic Gaming in a clean sweep. This was also the first official match for the team's former toplaner, Adrian 'Kerp' Wetekam on the mid-role, which was met with great success by the community.
