Amazon reveals tower defense/shooter hybrid Sev Zero for its new Fire TV streaming box
Available exclusively through Amazon's new Fire TV set-top box; other games available for the new platform include Minecraft and NBA 2K14.

The first Amazon Fire TV-exclusive game is Sev Zero, a tower defense/third-person shooter hybrid developed internally by Amazon Game Studios.
Amazon announced the game today during a media event in New York City where it officially took the wraps off the $99 Amazon Fire TV set-top box. It will sell for $7, though it's included for free with the purchase of a $40 Amazon Fire Controller.
In Sev Zero, you start in tower defense mode to build your towers, and then you beam down to the shooter mode to go head-to-head with alien enemies.
Though Sev Zero is exclusive to Amazon Fire TV, players can team up with friends through a game called Sev Zero: Air Support available on Kindle Fire. You can read more about Sev Zero on Amazon's website.
Sev Zero is one of thousands of games available today for Amazon Fire TV. Other big-name games includes contemporary titles like Deus Ex: The Fall, Asphalt 8, and NBA 2K14, as well as classics like games from the Sonic the Hedgehog and Tetris franchises.
You can check out the full list of Amazon Fire TV games at the company's website.
