Four of CRKD's Limited-Edition Nitro Deck Bundles remain in stock, including the GameCube-inspired model for only $50.

One of our favorite handheld controllers for Nintendo Switch is on sale for a price that matches its all-time low price. CRKD's Nitro Deck Limited-Edition Bundles are discounted to $50 (was $80) during Amazon's Big Spring Sale. This is the lowest price since Black Friday, and these actually are "limited edition." Multiple color schemes have sold out since the last time we covered the Nitro Deck. At the moment, only four styles remain in stock, including the purple edition that pays homage to the Nintendo GameCube.

Nitro Deck+ Controller Bundles with HDMI adapters are also selling out, but you can still get a translucent black model with the adapter for its lowest price yet.

The Nitro Deck without a carrying case is discounted to as low as $40, but the extra $10 is definitely worth it for the custom hardshell travel case--many Nintendo Switch cases are incompatible with the Nitro Deck.

Nitro Deck Limited-Edition Controller & Travel Case Bundles:

Thankfully, the list of in-stock editions includes the eye-catching Nitro Deck that's themed around the purple Nintendo GameCube controller. It's one of several gaming accessories modeled after the iconic shade of purple that's on sale right now. Other notable deals include the NYXI Wizard handheld controller and Warrior pro-style controller--both of which are modeled after the GameCube controller's unique form factor--and the NYXI Striker keyboard.

Nitro Deck+ Nintendo Switch Controller Deals:

You can also grab a set of eight extra thumbstick caps for only $13 (was $20). The caps can be used on CRKD's Nitro Deck, Nitro Deck+ and Neo S controllers--all of which are on sale right now.

You can also save up to $12 on CRKD's Neo S wireless controllers for Nintendo Switch and PC. A compact controller with a surprisingly comfy form factor, the Neo S is available in a variety of colors, including an eye-catching gold. If you love the Guitar Hero/Rock Band mode in Fortnite, check out the Neo S Fortnite Festival Edition, which has a 5-fret attachment and is on sale for $50 (was $60).

Hey @gamespot when i clicked on the link for the pink one i noticed in "similar products" how the CRKD Nitro deck has some competition now from a similar device.

"HEATFUN Switch OLED Controller Grip, Controller Grip Compatible with Switch or Switch OLED with Gravity Induction of Six-Axis Gyroscope, Double Motor Vibration - Purple"

Have you tried it? And if so, how does it compare to the Nitro Deck? :)
It is similarly priced. And also on sale. It seems to have similar design and similar features. CKRD vs HeatFun!

Given how these devices work both as a portable device, a stand alone game pad controller when playing on a tv, and also as a PC games gamepad, they are quite versatile, i must say. :) And nice value for money too, i guess.

@simonthekid7: The big question now is if these devices work with switch 2 or not. Because since Switch 2 is backwards compatible with games, i think we all would prefer devices which work with Switch 2 as well. Most people are not gonna carry around a Switch and a Switch 2 if Switch 2 plays all our games. We might just carry around a Switch. And therefore, we would probably like something which works well with Switch 2. Since we do not exactly have the info on Switch 2 yet, it is kind of a risky bet to buy a Nitro Deck (or the HeatFun similar product ) now and cross our fingers (or hold our thumbs like we do it here in Sweden) it works on Switch 2 as well.

On the other hand, the devices are very low in price now, maybe a reflection of the risk. Lower price because of higher risk of buying a device which might not work well with Switch 2. A risk price reduction, sort of. So if you buy one now you "only" spend 35 or 40 dollars, which is perhaps not a big deal. And there might be a pre owned marked to resell them too because not everyone who plays Switch intend to buy Switch 2, at least not right away. Some might want to wait, and some weird folks stop playing games as much when they get older (very weird..). :) They might be happy just keep playing on Switch 1 for years.

I think since Switch 2 is backwards compatible, a lot of people consider selling their Switch 1 to finance purchasing a Switch 2. But we need more info. Is Switch 2 backwards compatible with cartridges, peripherals? Or just digital games? Questions remain. :) To be continued..

Still, i am reluctant to buying a Nitro Deck now with Switch 2 probably only 6 months away or so from launch. But Nitro Deck is an awesome product (by the looks of it). Another big gaming site gives it a 9 out of 10 and recommends it to both newbie gamers and the hardcore players. But the Switch 2 backwards compability factor is making me hesitant. Buy now or wait and get more info? When exactly are Nintendo talking more about Switch 2? Before march 31st 2025, yeah.. but during 2024? Is march 2025 still a launch window ..or maybe we get Switch 2 as late as may 2025 or even fall 2025. the plot thickens i guess.
