The former United States and NXT Champion had previously asked for his release but was initially denied. Now, it's official and has been "future endeavored."

Late Sunday night, WWE announced it had come to terms with the release of Andrade. The company tweeted out the usual formality of wishing him "all the best in all of his future endeavors."

Andrade--real name Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza--has not been featured on WWE television since mid-October of last year as he was injured and decided to get an elective procedure. At the time, he was only supposed to be out for about a month, but that kept getting pushed back. He wasn't in the Royal Rumble this year or part of the WWE Draft.

It was reported last week that Andrade had asked for his release from the company, but was denied. He took to Twitter explaining the situation and his frustration but thanked his fans for the support.

"The rumors are true and I don’t know what the future holds but I want to make my dreams come true. thank you for giving me so much support these last days." He seemed in better spirits yesterday as he also sent out the message, "Good news!!!! Buenas noticias!!"

In his time with WWE, he won the NXT and United States Championships, both one time each. Once paired with manager Zelina Vega, everything seemed to click for Andrade as a character and performer. Once Zelina was released back in November, it was uncertain how he would adjust when he came back.

Having been wresting for almost 20 years, since he was 14, there's no doubt he'll eventually land on his feet somewhere when the time comes.
