Angry Birds Star Wars coming to consoles
Bird-flinging strategy game coming to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, PS Vita, and 3DS this October from Activision.
Activision announced today that it will release Angry Birds Star Wars for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, PlayStation Vita, and 3DS on October 29.
Angry Birds Star Wars originally launched for mobile devices in November 2012 and has been downloaded over 100 million times. A sequel with Skylanders-style toys will be released in September.
The console and portable version of Angry Birds Star Wars includes new levels, features, and platform-specific elements, according to Activision. It also features a two-player co-op mode and a four-player competitive mode.
Achievements/trophies, leaderboards, and high-definition graphics are also supported on the new versions.
The Angry Birds Trilogy, also published by Activision, has sold over 1 million copies to date across the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and 3DS. It arrives for the Wii and Wii U on August 13.
