Another Xbox One Backward Compatible Game Now Available
It's time to clean up the streets again, Agent. Crackdown joins the Xbox One enhanced line-up.
Microsoft has added another Xbox 360 game to its ever-growing roster of backwards compatible games available on Xbox One. This time it's Crackdown, the Realtime Worlds game from 2007 that kicked off a franchise. The open-world action game puts you into the shoes of a super-powered Agent in a city overrun by criminal cartels. As the name implies, you crack down on them.
It joins The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Forza Horizon, and Fable Anniversary as the latest of the enhanced games on Xbox One X. Those all emulate at a higher quality than on a standard Xbox One, and you can now choose whether to play them with enhanced graphics or to see the original visuals. You can find this option in the Xbox One X Settings menu. This brings the grand total of enhanced Xbox One X games up to 11, with other luminaries like Halo 3 and Skate.
Crackdown 2 isn't yet available via backwards compatibility, but the new entry, Crackdown 3, is due later this year for Xbox One.
As always, physical owners can insert the disc into an Xbox One to initiate a download, while digital copies can be found in the Ready to Download section of the My Games and Apps area. It's also available to purchase on the Xbox store. Check out our full roundup of Xbox One backwards compatible games for much more.
