AOL announced that the premium rates for online gaming, originally slated to begin Saturday, July 19, have been delayed until 5:00am EDT Tuesday, July 22.
AOL members had been enjoying unlimited play under the new service-wide standard rate of US$19.95 per month. Under a reorganization of the Games Channel in conjunction with WorldPlay Entertainment, some games will cost members an additional $1.99 per hour.
Premium games include most of the Kesmai and Engage titles, such as Multiplayer Battletech and Virtual Pool.
