Army Men Go Global

3DO announced on Thursday that it has shipped its first titles, Army Men 3D for the PlayStation and Army Men in Space for the PC, to 25 different European countries including Germany, Spain, France, England, and Italy. The release of these games will be accompanied by major marketing efforts, including a sixty-second spot before Toy Story 2 in theaters.

"3DO's titles have broad appeal across Europe as a result of the company's commitment to localization for the major European territories and languages. Localization issues are addressed at the early stages of development to ensure that 3DO's titles are attractive to diverse cultures and languages," stated Stephen E. Fowler, president of 3DO Europe, Ltd.

Both Army Men games will be in stores here in the US by January 28.
