Attack on Titan Gameplay Video Shows 3D Maneuver Gear in Action
Screenshots of Survey Corps also released.
Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer for its Attack on Titan game, which is being developed by Omega Force, the team behind the Dynasty Warrior series and--more recently--Hyrule Warriors.
The trailer shows members of the Survey Corps as they hunt down the Titans using the 3D Maneuver Gear, which allows them to soar through the air and attack weak points for massive damage.
The game is based on the first season of the Attack on Titan anime. Although details on the game have not yet been provided, the trailer suggest it will follow the Dynasty Warriors template of moving between designated points in a large battlefield and taking out enemies. It is likely Titans will serve as boss-type enemies.
Screenshots released alongside the trailer show main character Eren Yeager training on a wooden dummy of a Titan and interacting with other members of the Corps. Take a look at them below.

In August 2015, Koei Tecmo president Hisashi Koinuma wrote a little about the project, saying he was "enchanted by the opportunity" to work on the game.
"Having evolved from a manga/anime series to an internationally recognized brand, we were enchanted by the opportunity to create our own take on humanity's last stand against these overwhelmingly powerful beings, the Titans," he said.
"Our studios are already pouring all of their passion and excitement into it and we hope to reveal more information soon!"
The Attack on Titan game will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Vita. It is planned for release in western territories in 2016.
