AU New Releases: Assassin's Creed Unity Released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

The new-generation Assassin's Creed Unity launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at Australian retailers this week. The game marks the first time the Assassin's Creed series makes its debut exclusively on the current generation of consoles.

Set in Paris during the French Revolution, players take up arms as Arno Dorian the son of an Assassin. Following the death of his father, Arno is adopted by a family with strong ties to the Templar Order. According to Ubisoft, the core game will offer "dozens of hours" of gameplay.

Assassin's Creed Unity will also introduce a multiplayer cooperative mode to the series for the first time, with up to four players able to take on missions together. To prepare for the game's release, we've rounded up everything you need to know about it before it launches.

For fans of the Halo series, Halo: The Master Chief Collection launches for Xbox One this week. As the name suggests, the game is a compilation of remastered games from the Halo series, including Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Also out this week is Sony's PlayStation TV, a micro-console which enables select PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable games to be played on an HD television.
