Electronic Arts' cops-and-robbers-themed first-person shooter Battlefield Hardline launches for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this week. Players who have pre-ordered it on PC via Origin can download the game so that it's ready to play when it unlocks on March 19.
Battlefield Hardline will launch with seven modes and nine maps. EA Access subscribers who pre-order the game on Xbox One will already be able to play Hardline's prologue, first chapter, and multiplayer for up to 10 hours. Be warned though, the Xbox One version is a 45GB download.
As noted in our preview earlier this year, the game's singleplayer campaign contains elements of stealth. Earlier this year developer Visceral Games revealed details on all of the game's modes and multiplayer maps.
If you prefer fighting grander wars with a bit of fantastical themes thrown in, Square Enix's role-playing game Final Fantasy Type-0 HD hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week. As the title suggests, the game is a high-definition remake of 2011's Final Fantasy Type-0, which never saw release outside of Japan. The RPG features fourteen playable characters and will be available on March 19. Fans who pre-order the Day One edition will also receive a digital download code for a playable demo of Final Fantasy XV, redeemable up until March 20. For more on the Type-0, check out our interview with director Hajime Tabata.
