AU Shippin' Out February 15-19: Aliens vs. Predator
Despite a temporary ban, Sega's sci-fi shooter gets an Australian release in line with the rest of the world.
Sega is rebooting the Aliens vs. Predator franchise this week, after a less than smooth process of getting it through the Australian Classification Board. The game takes place from three perspectives--aliens, marines, and predators--as they battle it out on a planet believed to hold valuable technology to the Weyland-Yutani corporation. Developer Rebellion has also included some new multiplayer modes in this iteration, like a Gears of War 2-like Horde mode that sees four players face-off against waves of aliens. Aliens vs. Predator has been rated MA 15+ and will be released unedited around Australia on Thursday.
Other games out this week include the Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity combo pack (which includes the original game plus its two expansions), Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days, and Big Catch Bass Fishing 2. Stay tuned to AU Shippin' Out for the latest news in video game releases down under.
