Shatterscarp is the third location you can visit in Avowed and as always, Sanza has a cartographer missing somewhere in the region. When you arrive in the main hub city of Thirdborn, a new Mapping the Living Lands quest will appear in your journal. If you read the journal entry, you'll see that Sanza's missing cartographer has disappeared near a lone spire by the sea.

While you can spend hours patrolling the coasts of Shatterscarp in Avowed, you can see exactly where the cartographer is located by reading the guide below.

With Shatterscarp being directly on the ocean, there are plenty of places you can check for a "spire by the sea." The word spire is fairly vague, as it could be a physical building or something formed by nature.

Fortunately, you don't have to go too far from Thirdborn to find the missing cartographer in Shatterscarp. The cartographer is located to the east of Thirdborn, just above the large "Shatterscarp" text on your map. Go past Sailor's Rest until you reach a small island with a cylindrical boulder sticking out on top of it. Jump over the gap to reach the island and find the missing cartographer.

The missing cartographer's name is Wilfrith, and their body is lying against the spire. You can loot Wilfrith's body for some valuable loot as well as pick up Wilfrith's Map that's sitting right to the left of them. Once you have the map, this part of the quest is over, and you can now return to Sanza to tell him the bad news about another one of his cartographers.

You'll have to return to Sanza's Emporium in Paradis Hightowns in Dawnshore to complete the quest. You can open your map, press "The Living Lands" section at the top of the screen, and then select the region of Dawnshore from there. In Dawnshore, travel to the Administration District of Paradis, head into Paradis Hightowns via the grand staircase, and then visit Sanza's Emporium from there.

Talk to Sanza behind the counter, where you'll tell him the fate of Wilfrith. After speaking with Sanza, you've completed another Mapping the Living Lands quest in Avowed.
