Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition has over 350k words of new content
Developer says over 350,000 words of content have been added to updated version of 2000 original, but game still has no firm release date.
The upcoming Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition has over 350,000 words of new quest and story dialogue spread across the original Shadows of Amn and its expansion Throne of Bhaal.

"We're hard at work on BG2:EE and it is going well," said developer Beamdog's president Trent Oster in an interview with Shacknews. "Phil (our design lead) mentioned to me there is over 350,000 words of new content."
The game has no official release date as of yet. Oster said the extra words would be delivered as part of the standard Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition on PC and Mac, and as DLC for iPad and Android.
Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition was released in 2012. "Baldur's Gate remains the same enthralling epic that it was in 1998, but bugs and lackluster extras make it tough to call this an enhanced version of the classic," said GameSpot in its 6.0 review of the game.
Baldur's Gate 2 was originally developed by BioWare and released in 2000.
