Barbie Befriends Tiger
A Barbie-themed Giga Pet will be introduced by Mattel.
No Barbie Dream House would be complete without a little Barbie pet. Mattel announced today the availability of Barbie Giga Pets, manufactured by Tiger Electronics, Inc.
After purchasing four particular Barbie dolls, buyers can send away for a virtual kitty on a key chain that, like Bandai's Tamagotchi, must be played with, fed, and kept clean.
The Barbie Giga Pet is only available from now through July 27, 1997, exclusively through mail order.
