Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Advance Ticket Sales Ahead of Deadpool - Report
Expectations are high for the upcoming DC superhero showdown.
The recent huge success of Deadpool has proved that tentpole superhero movies can thrive outside of the summer months. The next big movie to test this theory is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which opens next week. It has been reported that advance tickets sales are on course to give the DC superhero epic a massive opening weekend.

According to Deadline, advance sales are currently outstripping those of both Deadpool and Furious 7 at the same point prior to their respective releases. Furious 7 went on to make $147.1 million at the box office, while Deadpool claimed the biggest opening ever for an R-rated movie.
Earlier this month, it was also reported that the film was tracking to make between $300 million and $340 million internationally on its opening weekend. This would place it fifth in terms of global superhero debuts, behind the two Avengers movies, Spider-Man 3, and Iron Man 3. The movie will open across the world simultaneously, including in the increasingly important Chinese market.
An international trailer was released this week, featuring new footage from the movie. Check it out here.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens on March 25, 2016. It stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Laurence Fishburne.
