Battlefield 1 Beta: Here's How to Choose Your Preferred Platform
You can now tell EA which platform you want to play on.
Electronic Arts continues to prepare for the start of the Battlefield 1 beta. The company has now updated the Battlefield Insider page to allow users to select their preferred platform for the upcoming beta.
You can choose either Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC (via Origin). It looks like you can only get one code per email address, but you can change your platform preference. Once beta codes are ready to go out, they'll be sent to the email address on file (via DualShockers).
Neither EA nor developer DICE have officially said when the Battlefield 1 beta will begin or what content it may contain. However, Battlefield's community manager for Germany suggested the beta will kick off "shortly after" Gamescom, which runs August 17-21. EA previously confirmed that the Battlefield 1 beta would begin sometime this summer, so this matches up.
Battlefield Insiders (sign up here for free) can reportedly start playing the Battlefield 1 beta three days before everyone else. Other Battlefield Insider perks include "in-game rewards, exclusive content, and sneak peeks at news about Battlefield," as well as details on other EA games.

An alpha for Battlefield 1 was made available to press (see our impressions in the video above), but the beta will be available for everyone.
Battlefield 1 launches on October 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
