Battlefield 1 Companion App Update Launches This Week
The Battlelog Mobile App sees a major overhaul on October 18.
The new Battlefield Companion app overhaul launches Tuesday, October 18, EA announced today. It includes support for Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 4. Battlefield Hardline was not mentioned in the announcement.
Battlefield Companion will be available for Android, iOS, and Windows 10 Mobile devices. The update adds a new look and improved navigation. It'll allow you to track your progress in the two aforementioned Battlefield games, customize loadouts, and connect with friends, among other things.
The Career section is where you'll be able to check out stats and awards and compare with friends. Additionally, the Friend List will allow you to see when they're playing, in addition to which game they're in. The Customization screen lets you create and edit loadouts, in addition to designing your emblem.
EA noted that when the new app launches, the current Battlelog experience will still be available through Battlefield Companion and mobile browsers through this link.
Battlefield 1 received a score of 9/10 in GameSpot's review and releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21. You can find out exactly when you can start playing here.
EA/Origin Access members can access a 10-hour limited trial of two single-player missions and some of the maps and modes right now. Those who bought the $80 special edition will get access to the full game on October 18. Any Access member who still has time left in their trial will get to try the full game at this point as well.
