Verstion 1.03 includes revamped Wake Island battleground, fixes bugs, and adds features in modern combat PC shooter.
Electronic Arts and Digital Illusions today released the latest patch for Battlefield 2, which is now available for download from GameSpot DLX. The latest version, 1.03, adds a new map, does some housecleaning of some bugs, and adds some new gameplay features.
The biggest addition to the game is the Wake Island map, which is a reworked version of the classic level from Battlefield 1942. The map is multiplayer only and is configured for 64 players.
Among the other changes are the abilities to add a six-character prefix to players' names, to look up other players' stats in BFHQ, and to mark servers as favorites for later use. A full list of additions and changes is available at GameSpot DLX.
Battlefield 2 is rated T for Teen and retails for $49.99. For more information on Battlefield 2, read GameSpot's full review.
