Battlefield 3 hits 8 million in sales
EA has revealed that the military shooter has sold roughly 3 million more units throughout the month of November.
Last month, the DICE-developed Battlefield 3 became EA's biggest day-one shipment ever, with 10 million units sent to retailers for the game's October 27 launch.
While the game's week-one sales of 5 million units weren't quite enough to best the efforts of Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which sold 6.5 million units in the UK and the US in its first 24 hours on sale, updated sales figures show that Battlefield 3 is continuing to sell well postlaunch.

During an investor presentation today, EA CFO Eric Brown briefly addressed Battlefield 3's current status, revealing that sold-in numbers (games shipped) now stand at 12 million, while sold-through numbers (games sold) currently stand at 8 million units.
The news follows the recent class-action lawsuit filed against EA over the publisher's recent decision to renege on an earlier announcement that the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 would come packed with Battlefield 1943. EA has since announced plans to make good on that promise.
