I already bought the game. WHY??

Does this mean we have to pay for them to fix all of the patches that have gradually made the game worse?

The premium stuff sounds like garbage which is good for people like me who wouldn't want to pay for the premium service anyway.

You know, if a company could figure out a way to sell you AIR they would do it. The problem isn't that companies do it, it is that the customers fall for it. Just don't purchase and they will get the message.

This game died in my heart when you could purchase kit shortcuts. Rented servers (which can be fun, but usually aren't) in addition to this is just the final blow in what was once a great game.

Shame i guess i am uninstalling the game.Oh well.

who cares. They ruin BF3 with rent a server crap. You can't get into a legit game no more. all the rent servers you get into last like hr and people just spawn camp helies and jets and do stupid stuff...

I'll be spending more time with Bad Company 2 now.

I seem to remember EA claiming they would never do something like call of duty elite during last year's E3.

I have no interest. If I want DLC, I'll get it. Close Quarters isn't something I'd like, so I'm not getting it. Maybe End Game.

AHHH people !!! stop complaining for fuc* sake, what ever DICE do u people come and complain, its like sickness at the end of the day, u r the one who is gonna buy this content/premium thing, same goes to ELITE for COD, now have over 2 million subscribers, DICE sold those Unlocks and i actually bought the one for "air vehicle", and guess what !? the minute i fly the jet, i'll go down by some seriously bad guys, still i don have chance to stand a minute up there, so basically DICE didn't ruin anyone's joy,about the PREMIUM thing, PLS stfu and wait to see what they r gonna offer ! if they are going to give us opportunely to be able to have all the future DLCs with lower total cost plus some awesome exclusive contents, why the fu*k someone that loves the game and play it for hundreds of hours and looking for more, wouldn't get premium!!?!? hu?! why wouldn't u?! EA, if you turn Battlefield into a CoD clone ... well let me put it this way.

If you clone a cow, you will be able to milk it the same way as the original, but the difference is: clones die faster than the original.

So, put simply: Don't f*** with Battlefield.

Nice job DICE. If you can't stay profitable on a $59 game, on-line access fees and DLC revenue then I'm sorry you need to reorganize your business or go do something else. What is it about this industry that is trending toward less value for money from a gamer standpoint?

I have no complaint over paying$60 for a game and $15-20 for high quality DLC, where else can you get so many hours of entertainment in such an affordable package? But... I buy the game...I buy online features...I buy DLC...now I have to buy in-game unlockables so I can be sure to have all the gear that everyone else can use now regardless of skill level or time in game...and you need to find another way to dig into my pockets? How about adding great premium features as a reward for playing your game instead of the All-Powerful COD or to differentiate yourself from the competition?

While I don't think we should be entirely pessimistic about this, perhaps the delivered content WILL be great value for money, the trend toward the inevitable "Elite" on line services <For Those Who Can Afford It> is nothing but lame.

I am extremely disappointed by this crap, because I am a fan of Battlefield 3. Selling unlocks for high prices was the first red flag (it could almost be considered pay-2-win). Now it looks like they really want to ruin the game with microtransactions.

if they throw in a few new balanced weapon's and some co op mission's then i'll probaly get it but from what i read there i wouldn't buy it would be a bit pointless

You should've released this picture as a $50 DLC right on release date and then launched a PREMIUM PHOTO SERVICE for an extortionate monthly price, where users could interact with the photo through COOL NEW FEATURES and EXCLUSIVE CONTENT like ZOOMING!!!! TSK TSK TSK!!! F**K YOU EA!!! YOU JUST KILLED THE BF FRANCHISE!! #PIRATE-EVERY-EA-GAME

As long as there aren't going to be P2W weapons included in this, it doesn't bother me. I could care less about camo and dog tags. If subscribers get crazy weapons that are overpowered...I will stop playing altogether.

It's funny how a lot of people are already complaining about something where no final details has been released yet. I'll wait until I hear what it is actually going to entail before I pass judgement.

The premium service I can deal with because it's optional. However, if they actually go through with a subscription service for Battlefield 3, I'll sell my copy of the game. I don't tolerate subscription services in my MMOs and there's no way on Earth I'll ever tolerate them in my shooters.

For us the only thing that made Elite worth while was that you get future map packs included in the price. If you know you're going to buy them anyway why not join Elite and get the other stuff as well. A knife and some other crap that isn't worth mentioning isn't a good enough reason to join a service like this. EA need to get their heads our of their butts if they want to do this and make it work.

Only in the FPS genre do people hate on games. Why don't yall go hate on Starcraft2 or even games like Diablo3 where all u do is click the mouse as fast u can. pbbt...yall give me a break. BF3 is a whole new game compared to BF2. It ain't a redo like the COD franchise. So don't go comparing it to other games. I guarantee u the COD franchise will end before they come up with a new engine or style. Old stuff man old stuff!

lol jumping on the COD band wagon. What was wrong with purchasing the Battlefield Bad Company 2 limited edition like myself, then receiving all the DLC for free, but hang on, COD can milk the hell out of people so why can't we. Nice one EA, just further reasons for me to stay away from the FPS market. Waiting for Dragon's Dogma (I'm sure Capcom are gonna screw me with on disc dlc though lol).

I think people should start playing battlefield 2 and 1 again and leave this crap behind. believe me bf3 only have better graphics everything else in bf2 is better.

I would like to see more game modes added to BF3 in future expansions over maps.

I don't think adding this premium service now is going to get good sales, they will push people away and pull hardcore people closer. :/
