The Bayonetta 1-2 bundle will launch for Switch on February 16. This wasn't the only news about Bayonetta announced tonight, as Nintendo also confirmed that Bayonetta 3 is heading to Nintendo Switch as a platform exclusive. Few details were shared on that, but it again features the titular character.

I LOVED part 1. I never owned a Wii-U so I couldn't play part 2. Now I own a NS so I'll buy part 2 just in time for part 3. Can't wait.

Very nice. I heard about 3, but since I skipped Wii U, I would miss out on the story, I thought. Glad to know I can play 2. I will probably make it cheaper for myself by selling the Bayonetta 1 code, so great to know that's not physical so I can set up a deal with someone ahead of time.

Glad series coming to ninendo switch only because ninendo needs a lot games but Xbox got less exclusives and ninendo got more than Xbox1.

@playstationzone: why is it good to you if a game comes only to 1 console? How is that good for gamers in general? You act like you get stock options if it pushes the console over a certain high percentage, or have some some sort of actual investment in the Switch, lol.

"Xbox got less exclusives and ninendo got more than Xbox1," is redundant and one of the portions is unnecessary, btw.

@twztid13: it's good that it's an exclusive in general because if you can play everything on all three platform then there would be not much of a competition. If there's no competition to drive companies to make better product then mind as well go on PC. Companies have to make themselves unique in order to drive business and if everything is generic then probably all of these company will go out of business.

@NeoCloudZero: I guess that's why VHS, DVD, Blu-ray, and movies in general went out of business since each manufacturer of the player didn't have exclusive movies. Competition is great. Ignorance is not.

@twztid13: ignorance is a bliss when you compare a generic items such as VHS,DVD and BluRay... You are literally comparing oranges to apple, it's like saying cars in general will go out of business. Instead of comparing the different brand that offer different product like economic brand like Toyota vs let say BMW with a more exclusive luxury build.

If you ask me I think ps4 and Xbox is a great example of say Toyota vs Honda or BMW vs Mercedes, while Nintendo is like Tesla cuz they are actually different with their electric cars. Although they do work the same way in general, but they are heading a different direction comparing to the gasoline based vehicles. So this is why you can't exactly use your example as it's like comparing a car to a boat.

FYI they actually do in fact release exclusive version on things like Blu-ray of certain movies because of things like 4k and 3D. And it can't be on a DVD because of limitations of the media.

So much for all the haters that claim Nintendo blew their load on great exclusives in 2017, and wouldn't have anything for 2018...

Definitely buying a Switch soon! I always wait until a console has about a handful of must buy games but Bayonetta 3 is a must for me. Between this, Mario Odyssey and BOTW I'll be entertained and satisfied for many hours. Very happy they're porting over the first 2 as well.

Bayonetta is one of the few games in the industry that can sell consoles but for me, with the limited power of the nintendo switch this game is a waste to be there only, just look the first game on pc, but again this is only for the poor capabilities of the console because we know we must live with this platform-exclusivities in videogames. And no, I'm not buying a switch, at least not in my plans.

@Geocross: The whole "everything should be on P.C." gets a little old.

If any one platform had every game the other devices wouldn't have much relevance outside of gimmicky features each one offered.

And the same could be stated for P.C. as I only P.C. game for the likes that really work well with mouse and keyboard support. War for the Overworld being a great example.

See if a game like Owlboy was on PS4? I would have never grabbed it on GoG. And played it on my platform of preference for that kind of game.

Just because >you< have a staple preference for everything doesn't mean everyone follows that example.

P.C. platform has exclusive games as well, don't act as if they don't. Difference is, you feel the need to think your platform deserves everything. Even when porting to the platform can result in trash like Disgaea P.C.

@RSM-HQ: You misunderstood me man, I'm not a PC only gamer (I own an xbox one also) and I'm not saying PC deserves everything or anything like that, just saying that this game is a master piece that will look beautiful in other more powerful platforms (as well). But I understand that this is an industry of exclusivities so yeah, you're right but don't put me in the same bag as the PC elitist because I just compared the game with the PC version.

@Geocross: When did I call you an Elitist?

Look, I play on P.C. as well, but just because P.C. can very easily put other platforms to shame from a technical standpoint. Doesn't mean it 'deserves' all the games from every platform. For a moment let's pretend that you're not being greedy and wanting everything under one roof.

For starters the audience for the P.C. platform can be a risky move with certain genres and porting it to the platform to begin with. Mostly due to the kinds of games that sell.

To break it down. It's like stating Xbox X should get all the PS4/ Switch games because it has superior tech. It's the exact same argument really. Best version doesn't benefit the people making the port process unless it's going towards an interested and healthy install-base. Ports cost money.

So think. Does this make sense to the developer and publisher to both pay towards the port, market the port? Based that Platinum has officially stated Nier: Automata saved Platinum Games from financial bankruptcy. . You have your answer. Would you rather PG make games on beefer platforms that don't buy-in and have them go under; or sell games after researching in an interested install-base?

Same works for games built and sold well on P.C. when ported to consoles. It's a risk, and not one always worth pursuing.

It has been almost like yesterday that the first Bayonetta was released in 2009. I really cannot imagine that eight years had passed since the first game. I had to wonder whether the Switch versions of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will be enhanced for the Switch.

I hate companies that force video game series into platform-exclusivity. People forced to switch platform just to play the sequels.

Let go, you scumbags.

@ECH71: so if you ran a company and a outside company came a funded your game, you wouldn't make that game exclusive to that company?

@halo1399: ninendo got exclusives so as the PS4 got lot exclusives the only got less exclusives is the xbox1 so wrong about that and I’m glad ninendo doing well.

I have the first on 360, and the 1-2 bundle on Wii U, but I might pick this up as well. I'm happy to see these games get more exposure. But the real news here is BAYONETTA 3! Day. One. Purchase.
