'Big' Battlefield 4 news teased on eve of Xbox 720 event
Official Twitter account for first-person shooter series says "big announcements are coming soon"; reveal event to last one hour.
The official Battlefield Twitter account has teased that "big" news about Battlefield 4 is coming soon, as Microsoft's next-generation reveal event kicks off in under 24 hours.
"Big announcements are coming soon!" the tweet reads.
No specific mention of the Xbox reveal event was made, but Microsoft and EA are rumored to announce a partnership at the reveal event that will see certain EA content released first on the next Xbox before launching on other platforms.
In addition, Microsoft's director of Xbox Live programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb today confirmed that the Xbox 720 reveal event will last one hour. By comparison, Sony's PlayStation 4 announcement event in February spanned just over two hours.
GameSpot will be in attendance at the Xbox 720 event, during which Microsoft will share its vision for the future of games and entertainment. This includes first looks at Call of Duty: Ghosts, a next-generation FIFA title, and EA Sports' new UFC game.
