Big in Japan October 7-14: Bravely Default, Resident Evil 6

If they manage to localize Bravely Default, I'll be a happy panda. :P

I'll take a jrpg over a zombie action game any day of the week, any time of the year.

potentially RE6 had a chance to be much bigger that it is now. it just feels like it was released too quickly. a few more months in development and it would of been fantastic. But now new game releases are strategically planned to maximise profit. they dont want to be released the same time as other "blockbusters" So called overated games like GOW etc.

Japan is developing less quality in the hd gaming market because any talent that they did have have long since seperated. Capcom saked Shinji Mikami after the GREAT res 4, The new ninja gaiden game no longer has Tomonobu Itagaki. And with the final fantasy games, anybody who worked on those ps1 classics have long since seperated. So will there be a remake of FF7? not likely. some questionalbe desicions that these game developers are doing. They want to favor new talent, but they are talentless and degrading the japanese gaming industry.

Bring back the people who knew how to make good games. At least now we still got platinum games for japan and dark souls. i hope they will find a way to make great games again.

I seriously want that collector's edition of Bravely Default. Thinking I might have to pick it up within the next few days... That said, I hate the thought of buying another 3DS just to play it (it is region locked, correct?). :/

more psps sold over vitas... thats sad sony

they should bring project x zone over i have a 3ds so i would buy it.

On the hardware side, it's nice to see that all of Sony's consoles are up there and still selling. It was a surprise to see that the PS2 is still moving units, which is nothing short of amazing since the PS2 is still the best selling console of all time. However, seeing that the PSP is outselling the PS Vita makes me even more worried for its future. The Vita's hardware is so amazing, but it's the lack of 3rd party support and advertising is what's hurting it. I really hope in the coming months and in 2013 that the PS Vita will get some better titles and support. 2013 for the PS3 is shaping up to be a great year, especially 1st party wise (The Last of Us, anyone?). Come on Sony, show the PS Vita some love and advertise it for what it is first: A PORTABLE PS3!!!

you would think square would release bravely default on the consoles online stores to help move more copies. i'm sure there are quite a few people who would pick it up that way.

here is a theory, i think in japan, handheld sales are booming because more and more people just dont have room for large hd tvs. especially in places tokyo. even the hotels are pods there. Or maybe they just dont dig microsoft lol.

I'm I glad I bought the 3ds xl, soo may good games now, plus lots more to come! Fire Emblem 3ds announcement made me get rid of my Vita a while back! Best decision ever!

Looking at the console sales, why does MS still bother with Japan? It feels like they're trying to sell a DVD to a person without a player at this point. They can't possibly be making any money there.

the best console in the world is sony and thats for sure everyone has own likes but for me sony is the best

capcom RE series has been terrible in my eye's since code veronica, dont like the new emphasis on guns nor the over the shoulder gameplay, prefer the old stlye much more, only thing I like from capcom in recent year's was asura wrath and that was more of a interactive anime with gameplay teasing,

unimpressive numbers for re6.........looks like ca$hcom or crapcom is feeling the burn..........think twice when your gonna release re7 and this time listen to fan angst more closely.
