Bin Laden operative reportedly consulted on MoH: Warfighter

A Los Angeles Times report claims former Navy SEAL Matt Bissonnette worked closely with Danger Close to consult on upcoming EA-published shooter.

A U.S. Navy SEAL who participated in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan on May 2, 2011 reportedly worked with EA as a consultant on the upcoming shooter Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

According to a Los Angeles Times report, Matt Bissonnette (whose identity was a secret until he was identified in media reports last week) worked closely with Danger Close Games on certain aspects of MoH: Warfighter. The newspaper cites "a person close to the matter" as a source for the information regarding Bissonnette.

A Nave SEAL who participated in the raid against Osama bin Laden reportedly consulted on MoH: Warfighter.

After retiring from the Navy last year, Bissonnette reportedly wrote a book about the Bin Laden raid titled "No Easy Day". The book is due to be released this week by Penguin under the pseudonym "Mark Owen".

However, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta is calling for Bissonnette to be punished for potentially putting future U.S. military operations at risk.

"I think when someone who signs an obligation that he will not reveal the secrets of this kind of operation, and then does that and doesn't abide by the rules, that when he reveals that kind of information, it does indeed jeopardize operations and the lives of others that are involved in those operations," Panetta said during a CBS interview this week.

Panetta said officials are currently reviewing Bissonnette's book to see if it reveals any classified information.

Yesterday, EA revealed MoH: Warfigther would include a DLC multiplayer map pack based on locations from the upcoming film Zero Dark Thirty, which details the hunt for Osama bin Laden and his subsequent death.

Why is this information public? People in special forces and their families need to be incognito for their own protection...... their names should not be thrown around for their own sakes and for that of their families...... ESPECIALLY someone who participated in that particular raid.

@LE5LO Well thank you for the kind remarks and I genuinely appreciate your sentiment. I'm not on here trying to "belittle" anyone or simply "bitch and complain" about anything. What I am tired of though, are the people who keep taking shots at us Service Members for simply doing our jobs. The saying that goes "It's a tough job but SOMEBODY has to do it" definitely applies to us. Anyone can sit back in the comfort of their homes and take the time to research things on-line and look up material and gather whatever resources they feel they need to make a full conclusion. All with time. On the ground, well brother, it's not that simple. We don't have that kind of luxury. I understand stories like these strike a nerve on certain subjects that still to this day, go unanswered...all I ask...is leave US out of it. I've been serving since 2002 and this is my 4th deployment. That's just about every other year. This job provides for me and my family so F**K anybody who wants to point the finger at me, like I'm the bad guy. Trust me when I say this...no one wants us home more, then WE want to be home.

Peace to you as well. Zulu 1 Tango...out...

@LE5LO *rolls eyes* I see this conversation is going nowhere...so it's pointless to continue. I already argued with one person on another video section about his views and I'm not about to get sucked into another one. My last comment on this matter is simply this...it's always easy to critique from the stands, while the Players are on the field. It's obvious which side of the game we are on.....

If you truly are a soldier who has served or continues to (in the middle east), I actually feel genuinely bad about that last comment I made. It is a brave decision for any man or woman to join their countries army and I have a lot of respect for you making that decision.

I'm sorry I've offended you but I know a lot of people back home share a similar sentiment to me; we simply wish the guys and girls in service were back home. WE WANT THIS PHONY WAR ON "TERROR" TO END AND ALL ARMIES TO RETURN HOME.

Iraq and Afghanistan need humanitarian aid, not military occupation from invading countries, it's currently leading to nothing besides genocide and big profits for the military industrial complex.

From what I see the middle-east isn't getting the help it seriously deserves now, especially in Iraq, what did the citizens of Baghdad ever do to the U.S.A to deserve the horrific bombings in March 2003, or the MK-77 attacks on Fallujah, or the thousands of civilian deaths that have been reported over the last decade? Enough is enough.

As for 'the game' metaphor you use, i've been nowhere near combat but I've researched enough government tricks to know that it's easy for yours to lie to the public to gain their support for actions that are otherwise unjustified, they proved this with the staged Gulf of Tonkin incident.

After months of extensive research we have hundreds of pieces of credible evidence that point towards a false-flag attack on 9-11. It's a proven fact that bin Laden videos have been faked and that Obama's birth cert is fake. Something is rotten here and we know it.

Peace to you brother, and seriously I hope you're safe wherever you are in the world ;)

I'll leave you with a last comment..."You can kill a revolutionary but you can never kill the revolution." - Fred Hampton @Zulu1Tango

um I thought that the operatives in that mission were supposed to remain anonymous to protect them and their families from a terrorist revenge plot?

Anyway, i hope Warfighter is a better game than the 2010 version, which was good, but not quite right. I'm soo sick of MW3.

*smart word* *smart word*.... government...*smart word* *smart word*...propaganda....*smart word* *smart word* conspiracy.... PEOPLE GET THE F***K OVER IT!!! This is a damn video game we are talking about here. Keep all the political BS for POLITICAL forums...let's stick to video games on this one...you either like the game or you don't, it's that simple, cut and dry. Stop trying to "enlighten" people to your thoughts and opinions over a video game and the rest of you (well, a few) people need to stop arguing back...trust me, I already went on with this issue on another video section. It's pointless on both sides....stick to criticizing the game. Political awareness or government issues aren't going to stop people from buying this OR any other video game EVER...so get over yourselves...it's just a game.

@Zulu1Tango No discredit to Laura (the writer) here, she is just reporting the facts (misleading title aside) the bold claims of the article still present a controversial issue that is far beyond mere videogames, this is official history that divides a lot of people to this day due to the vagueness and lack of details presented. If you have a problem with intelligent discussion go somewhere else because your comment is the one that isn't enlightening anyone, just bitching, Political comments should be expected and respected here, this is completely the place. Why don't you go and comment on some Nintendo games now and forget you ever came here Zulu1Tango.

@LE5LO LOL Damn, I knew you were a f***in' idiot but WOW did you miss my point! I was never talking about Laura( the writer) you moron. YOU and people like you, are the ones I was refering too. Yes, I completely understand the context of this article and YES I know it strikes a nerve, especially in you "politically aware" nut cases who always go off on these big ol' rants about politics and BS. The only reason people like YOU have the freedom of speech to even make comments like this is because people like ME are out here on the ground fighting and dieing to protect that freedom. Oh, by the way, your welcome. If you don't like the government so much and there's so much evidence you supposebly have, then move to another f***in' country! If your not even from America, then STFU! God your a loser.....

@Zulu1Tango I'm no moron and I didn't miss your point at all; I know you were referring to me and others who know about history and politics in Iraq and Afghanistan, that's why I bit back.

it seems like an extremely one way fight when you view the statistics of Iraqi civilians killed > American forces killed since the war on 'terror' started.

Approximately: 118,000 > 6,300

That's civilians to U.S military from 2003 to now.

"The only reason people like YOU have the freedom of speech to even make comments like this is because people like ME are out here on the ground fighting and dieing to protect that freedom."

You sure are everyone here feels so safe thanks to you 'liberating' the people of the middle-east from the 'terrorists' (in an unfair fight with highly advanced weapons against an unknown enemy with much smaller resources), this is just like Vietnam, and who won that war? Don't you guys ever learn from your mistakes?

The majority of the world wishes you were OUT OF THERE AND BACK HOME IN YOUR OWN COUNTRIES, After the devastation that's been caused to these nations, especially in the capital Baghdad, do you actually believe these they have the resources to invade us like you have them? Just continue to guard the Oil fields and Opium, it will keep them down for years to come.

I have utmost repect for the people AWAKE to the truths of this so-called War on 'Terror', clearly you hide behind the true reasons you're there, to make your actions seem justified. Wake up chief.

Lastly, If you can't take the heat in here then remove yourself from this controversial article, clearly others here wish to talk about facts, not put people down for expressing their views. Thankyou, good luck to you in whichever screwed up nation you're serving (in no small part thanks to your intervention). I'm sorry but this war needs to end. It doesn't appear that you're making us safer, just committing genocide and aiding your homeland in stealing resources that don't belong to it. I'm sorry if I've upset you. No harm was meant.

@ZoTrAcK Because it tarnishes American military. Think of what it would do to the next generation the military hopes they can they recruit through CoD & MoH 'fight hordes of bad guys' propaganda.

Anyone ignorant to it look at the Abu Gharib documentary 'Taxi to the Dark Side' and tell me it actually looks good to work at a prison for the western powers in the middle east.

The western powers CAN continue to get away with civilian torture/murder in Afghanistan, Iraq and Gitmo because it isn't released to the public or even documented in the majority of cases, look at that the wikileaks video of the civilian Reuters journalist and co. being gunned down, the U.S soldier went to jail for sharing the truth with us! Mass-media spreads government approved messages and alot of these AP linked articles with NO author are copy/pasted to mainstream sites with no comments section available. REAL journalism dies a little more every time people read/believe these stories without looking at alternative media, eg. Alex Jones.

Government shills TRY convincing people researching that they're delusional but last time I checked I found the mainstream stories to be the ones I'm questioning, alternative media isn't full of things I CAN speculate on, more so facts while mainstream reporting keeps telling us vague pro-government narratives that lead to unanswered questions.

Peace bro, sorry for the rant, but by reading the comments here I believe alot of people (besides you and a minority of others) aren't aware of what's really going on, and sadly, they probably don't care about the politics or the future, past the next AAA game being released

@Kravyn81 Even Al Qaeda leadership have acknowledged that he is dead. Just because the pulblic is not allowed to see footage of a clandestine operation and graphic photos of a scalp blown off doesn't mean that the raid never occurred. You are delusional and another Michael Moore wanna be if you really believe that the raid is all a big hoax. I suppose we never landed on the moon, the CIA killed JFK, and FDR allowed Pearl Harbor to happen too....right?

@LE5LO @Kravyn81 What am I denying exactly? My response was not directed at you in the first place. If you want to hop on a conspiracy train, be my guest. Don't assume that just because you are not a part of the loop as far as JSOC and the President's cabinet that you are entitled to know everything that they do nonetheless. Most everything has been released to the public THAT NEEDS TO BE. I still don't think you understand what clandestine means, or at least that parts of the mission will never be public record.

@KelpsterD your insult conveys such ignorance (or mental disease.) You choose. Unlawfully blocking the FOIA requests is harmful to their reputation, cowering away from requests makes it appear to be a conspiracy moreso than releasing would create 'anit-U.S' propaganda, lol at Soetoro's 'spike the football' remark, b!tch please! We just want answers they WILL NEVER provide (until a genuine patriot controls the U.S) for reasons that even a kid with mental deficiency could tell reeks, so why can't you? After all THEY DIDN'T censor Saddams death or the crowd of people screaming around a bloodied up Gaddafi. The judge who denied the request studied at Yale (was a member of Skull and Bones), and was appointed by Bush and Obama, get a head check or do research before continuing non-intellectual insults and nothing more. Thankyou ignorant fact avoiding poster no#3. I'll be here all day ready to listen to your insults and nothing more; you SIMPLY cannot disprove a thing I say with your sentence long remarks, which by the way makes you look like the idiot ;)

@isshiah you're a damn cool cat but that would change if you were into politics, I research and become more depressed daily because of how deniers like ZOD777 & Jellyman68 shut down questions from people like me with nothing more than petty transparent insults, if they had any decency they'd be questioning these things too like the link @Kravyn81 provided does, instead they don't do any research, they just claim they have and keep saying 'you're delusional'. just like the infamously known shills on YouTube do. Look into Kravens link and you'll see that @ZOD777 and @jellyman68 have no facts to base their arguments upon, whereas we have many questions that deserve genuine answers, not insults. They absolutely cannot prove the mainstream story is true, yet quickly bash us for an alternative they can't disprove. I'm just asking for answers to questions, why aren't they doing the same? hmm... ;)

@isshiah @ZOD777 @Kravyn81 it's hard to support the Bush admins side to this 'war on terror' after listening to what ex-CIA asset Susan Lindauer has come out with, her story isn't the 'be all, end all' the conspiracy theorists are after, but with the addition of everything else we know about 9-11 I think we should be looking pretty suspiciously at anything the U.S government does these days, AND continues to do for a long while.

@Kravyn81 He's really dead. Not that it really matters, after 9/11 he pretty much just became a useless symbol.

Yes 9/11 actually happened. The only thing that I'll point out here is that the USA had it coming to them (blowback) for being dicks to the Middle East since the 70's as well as screwing over Bin Laden in the Gulf War, who might I add was an ally to the USA for a very long time. Also, the USA did indeed have word that a terrorist attack would potentially happen approximately 9 months before 9/11.

On the weeks before that faithful day many fire drills happened and on the day itself some of the top executives stayed home. Just in case it would actually happen, and it did. But I don't believe they properly prepared. Blame the Clinton Administration for getting so caught up in his own personal affairs and controversies rather than finishing his damn job as President properly, and blame the Bush Administration for not doing anything useful at all to prepare.

@JDWolfie @Kravyn81 Of course not, but T.V offers us few alternatives. Are you saying you'd take the official story as truth? I'm not saying I disagree with you that the internet is full of bull, but who are you kidding? You actually believe WTC7 fell due to fire damage? You believe the lack of any serious evidence pointing at bin Laden, and don't find it suspicious that the Pentagon has refused to release the tapes/photo's we've been waiting to see of the cruise missile for a decade now?

And lastly you actually believe bin Ladens dead body was photograph over a year ago now yet they've got no record of the photos existing and no-one has ever released them?

Among many other seriously suspicious things it gets me bothered that you appear quick to dismiss these issues without debunking us. Wanna give it a shot? Good luck.

Conclusion - the war on terror was faked, it fuels the biggest economies in the world; defense companies. ie. the military industrial complex loses money when there's no wars, hence the need for them to start new ones.It makes the greedy bastards lots of money while everything crumbles around them.

What you see on T.V about Muslim terrorists is all propaganda for the masses of baby bombers too tired at the end of the day to give a second thought while these companies and there CEO's like Bush and Cheney get rich spilling blood for resources and and we can't do a thing about it except for wake people up to this. I'm done now ;)

@Kravyn81 DUDE AMEN BROTHER, but now you and me have commented and taken the bait. The U.S Government will be all over this article and CNET looking for dissidents to add to their little black list for NWO elimination. lol, anyone else like us, ie. SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER THROUGH RESEARCH will probably also be watched on here (and harassed for informing people of the truth.) now Riccitiello's EA are now no longer making money from games, just receiving government pay offs for spreading propaganda and selling us out to the shills on GS, the dis-info merchants have finally infiltrated - get ready for some COINTELPRO on here. Conspiracy aware gamers beware that the nonsense shill trolling from 'people' with fresh accounts will be starting soon ;)

@jellyman68 I'll make it even clearer for you, and hopefully you can do some research now to make sure you understand before ignorantly insulting me again; no ammount of bi-linear/cubic sampling or OCR is capable of reproducing the forged effects in Barry Soetoro (a.k.a Barrack Obamas) FAKE birth certificate. Besides, like I said, he shouldn't be the president and NEITHER should Romney, neither of their Fathers are American. That ALONE is a violation of the law.

@jellyman68 Yes, I'm qualified, I have a genuine copy of Adobe Illustrator; ie. design software that takes apart layered PDF documents. If the roughly 51 year old (from memory?) birth cert. was legitimate (which it's not) I wouldn't be able to do that and shouldn't be able to see or do half the things I can to it. Especially seeing the inclusion of coloured green pixels in the areas underneath the writing. But called me an idiot. Whatever shill.

@LE5LO Are you serious? You think that because you're a graphic designer you're qualified to speak on the authenticity of a person's birth certificate? If Obama's is fake, every birth certificate in Honolulu issued in that year is fake, as they're all exactly the same. This wouldn't be an issue with a white president. Luckily racists like yourself expose your own lacking mental capacity quite readily, so most people won't buy your nonsense.

I know I'm wasting my time speaking to you about this as you're an idiot, but some people may be interested in hearing the other less vocal side of this "debate".

@jellyman68 dude I'm actually very qualified to speak on this issue. I'm a graphic designer by trade with two diplomas and 4 years (plus one year skipped due to prior experience in high school) to show for it. The mistakes in the forgery are more than obvious to people in my profession. OCR does not work in the way that the misquoted Fox article claims, it claims that's the reason the layers can be separated, scanners do not reveal content underneath that was never originally there. You are seriously naive my old friend and seriously wasting your time fighting me on this.

@LE5LO If you're one of those that's insane enough to believe Obama's birth certificate is fake, you're beyond reason. There's no point in saying anything more to you as you lack the capacity for rational thought.

@jellyman68 have you 'extensively' researched Obamas fake BC? False-flag operations? Did you even look at the link from Kravyn81?

Well...who wants their name published for being part of a group that killed the leader of a major terrorist organization? I think I'd be doing more to keep it a secret. Seems a little dangerous to me.

Miss leading title. I thought MoH consulted a "Bin Laden operative". But instead they consulted a navy seal.

As an aside, I am amazed he was able to write/release that book.

There are those in the military who have to wait DECADES to be able to talk about any little thing, much less a high profile operation such as this one!
