Black Myth: Wukong Update Aims To Address Crashing Issues, Unswitchable Stances
The game continues to see over 1 million concurrent players on Steam.
A new 1.6GB patch is out now for Black Myth: Wukong that looks to clean up crashing issues for the action-RPG. Additionally, the update aims to fix stuck stances for the Destined One in the sixth chapter as well as provide better translations for talents and equipment.
On Steam, developer Game Science detailed patch 1.0.8.14860 and noted that 80GB of free space is needed to update Black Myth: Wukong because of the "platform's update mechanism." Two of the planned fixes for crashes are regarding AMD and Nvidia. Apparently enabling "FSR could cause crashes for some players during startup or the prologue," while Nvidia's Full Ray Tracing was creating problems in Webbed Hollow. At launch, Game Science said it was aware of "occasional serious issues" for Black Myth: Wukong.

Other areas touched on for Black Myth: Wukong with this patch include hair effects. For instance, Game Science said that previously "hair would stretch abnormally." That should be taken care of in addition to better hair effects for Yaoguai King "Lingxuzi."
Earlier this month, Black Myth: Wukong saw the second-most concurrent players ever on Steam with over 2.4 million people. At time of publication, the action-RPG had over 1.3 million concurrent players, per SteamDB, and that obviously doesn't include anyone on PS5. Black Myth: Wukong also sold over 10 million copies in a matter of days, making it one of the fastest-selling games ever.
