Borderlands 3 PC System Requirements And Specs Confirmed

Can you run Borderlands 3 on PC?

One of 2019's biggest games, Borderlands 3, launches very soon. Those looking to pick up the PC version can now have a look at the system requirements and recommended specs, which publisher 2K posted this week.

On the low end, developer Gearbox only calls for an AMD FX-8350 or Intel i5-3570, along with an AMD Radeon HD 7970 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 680. At least on PC, the game will require 75 GB of storage space to go along with that hardware.

In addition to the specs themselves, which appear to be fairly reasonable, 2K posted a list of the many different graphics settings and visual options that PC players can take advantage of. Players will be able to tweak things like the field of view, ambient occlusion, and screen space reflections. Additionally, players are able to adjust things like the foliage detail, draw distance, character texture detail, and shadows, among many other things. Have a look at the lists below to see more.

The PC version of Borderlands 3 is exclusive to the Epic Games Store through April 2020. At that point, it may release on other platforms such as Steam and others.

Borderlands 3 launches on September 13 for PC, in addition to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In other news, a new crossover event between Borderlands 3 and Fortnite has begun in the battle royale game.

Also, you'll need a fistful of embezzled money and photos of you waggling your junk at a school bus before Pitchford will send you an access key.

I just finished the presequel, so I finally felt safe looking into B3 without it's basic settings/characters being spoilers or w/e. Tiny Tina is now just Tina... great...

I was really hoping that since Jack had clones made of himself, that he woulda cloned 1000 Flesh-Sticks to give the worst character in gaming history the biggest pinksock in universal history.

Seriously. Why the **** is Tina still around? She is HORRIBLE. Completely intolerable in B2 main game, barely tolerable in Torgue's campaign, actually decent in her own campaign, then back to making me want to never play any Borderlands in B:TPS.

If anyone replies to this, tell me why you like Tina? I've never hated a fictional character so much. She is disgustingly annoying.

Sorry, China.

I remember in the early years of this console gen, minimum system requirements were a FX 6300 and a HD 7850 normally (in line with console hardware). Now a PC has to have a FX 8350 and a HD 7970 to run games at about the same level as a base console.

You gotta love console optimization. Incredible what devs can squeeze out of that old hardware.

I'll be jumping on launch day, standard edition no fluff. Already have Epic installed for the free games so no issues there plus Epic owns the Unreal Engine that BL3 uses so as far as I'm concerned it's a match made in heaven!

@bluzima: don't let anyone tell you you're a fool for using epic. Games are all that matter.

@santinegrete: Right on brother. I shout from the rooftops that I use Epic, their tears sustain me. I built my PC to play games, not play Steam!

Is anybody actually surprised? It looks exactly like Borderlands 2 which is now a 7 year old game...

@skyemc2004: I'd still rather play B2 and its older graphics over 99% of the games out there cause, you know, it's that fun. Couldn't care less about the latest and greatest paid loot crate battle royale shooter.

Although that hasn't been ruled out for B3, yet.

@skyemc2004: 75 GB doesn't look like B2, I'm afraid...

@Prats1993: Nope. The joke is it's inevitable someone will mention Epic, and how they're evil or something.

@Prats1993: You mean "Spoiled brat (refuses to share with these exclusivity deals like one)" and "Trash from (enjoy getting banned just for shopping on there)."

@Jinzo_111887: You guys know I'm not a PC gamer and none of this affects me one iota, right? Steam doesn't even work on my computer. I couldn't care even if I wanted to.
