Borderlands 3 Teases New DLC Reveal For Next Week
Borderlands 3 is getting its fourth DLC, and has released a teaser video showing a very meditative psycho.
Borderlands 3 is beginning to tease more of its fourth piece of announced DLC. A short teaser video shows the psycho character Krieg, who was playable DLC in Borderlands 2, meditating against various backdrops. Gearbox has previously teased that the final DLC will be a trip into Krieg's mind.
The teaser ends by promising a full reveal on August 25. The studio hasn't announced an exact time for the announcement, but if it follows the template set by prior ones it will be during a stream.
The Borderlands 3 Season Pass promised four post-launch expansions, so this will be the last of it. Gearbox may still produce more DLC, either as a second season pass or a la carte. The first three expansions were Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, the Lovecraft-inspired Guns, Love, and Tentacles, and the western Bounty of Blood. With the exception of Bounty of Blood, each has featured cameos from fan-favorite characters, and that appears to be the case again with Krieg.

While previous Borderlands games have introduced new playable characters--including Krieg himself--Borderlands 3 won't be doing the same. Game director Paul Sage said that the studio's play data shows most people don't fully utilize additional characters, so instead the team chose to differentiate the existing four Vault Hunters with different builds.
