Gearbox has yet to officially confirm either game.

The existence of Borderlands 4 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2 may have leaked, according to a former employee's LinkedIn profile.

This former employee was a studio technical director at Lost Boys Interactive and under their responsibilities lists several games. In particular, it says, "Plan an engineer development on Borderlands 4 UE4, Tiny Tina's Wonderland UE4." It also seems to leak a new Brothers in Arms game as well.

Now Playing: History of Borderlands

Neither Borderlands 4 nor Tiny Tina Wonderlands 2 have been confirmed by Gearbox yet. Back in August, voice actor Angie Jho Lee had listed Borderlands 4 under her CV, sparking rumors that the game would be announced soon. However, it was later cleared as a misunderstanding and the role was actually for the Borderlands interactive streaming series by Genvid Entertainment.

Gearbox recently released Borderlands Collection: Pandora's Box, which has all six major games from the series. It wouldn't be surprising if Gearbox does in fact announce new entries in its most popular franchise. The Game Awards 2023 takes place on December 7, so perhaps we might see something there, but at this point, it's unclear how close to a reveal or release either game is, if they do truly exist.

Nothing they'll ever do will surpass Borderlands 2, it's a masterpiece. They had the right team, the right artists for it, planets were aligned for that game to end up the way it did. It will never happen again, period.

This series has only gotten worse over time. After the complete waste of time and brain cells that was 3, I'm not even cautiously optimistic for a return to the tone and atmosphere of the first game. Thanks but no thanks.

There was zero evolution of the series going from BL2 to BL3, and the millennial writing in BL3 was a brain rot. If BL4 is anywhere near BL3, and they don't even bother evolving its social features, it'll be an insta skip. Laziness is not worth my time, and that's coming from someone who nolifed the shit outta BL1 and BL2 back in the day.

Borderlands 3 was meh. Felt too much like 2 with even worse antagonists.

Man, I have to know if the dialog portions are skippable. The sections where you meet someone or turn in a quest and you have to wait until the person stops speaking before the next objective becomes available. Then many times you have to speak to the person again before things will progress. So even if you know where to go and just go there the game will still require you to speak to that character again. I liked 3 for the most part when I turned the dialog volume all the way down but was still interrupted ever twenty minutes or so by an NPC that just wouldn't shut up. TTWL was awful. It had all the nonsense from 3 plus boring weapons.
