GameSpot has received an update on the status of the upcoming Xbox shooter Brute Force. The squad-based shooter will be available alongside the European launch of the console and Microsoft is planning to support its release in that territory with a large marketing campaign. In terms of the North American market, the game is currently on schedule to be released in early March. Judging from the early screenshots, the game is one of the most visually impressive titles shown on the Xbox. It will feature tactical squad-based shooting action and will have an emphasis on RPG-like character development. As players progress through the game their character's strengths will increase in a variety of statistical categories.

GameSpot will have more on Brute Force in the coming weeks.
