Bullet Witch golden

Stale Japanese game design meets $50 dollar price point with soon to be released XBLA downloads, count me out. Then again what do I know people bought Lost Planet in droves, Bullet Witch will probably sell just as well.

ive seen vids on this game it look ok theres some good ideas in it so it just mite have the potential to be a good game or maybe not.......lol come on ATARI you guys need to put more time into your projects recruit me and ill give you some great ideas......lol

I've seen footage of the japanese version and it really has a distinct look to it . It feels a lot like Witch Hunter Robin and that show is awesome. Watch Saul of the Mole Men on Adult Swim Trey Parker sings the theme and Alex Winter does voices for the show. It's the funniest show since they had the big four Sea Lab 2021, Aqua Teen, Harvey Birdman, and Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

This game looks awful.

Do we need to wonder why Atari is financially troubled when this is what they are putting out. How about bringing out a 360 version of Battlezone which would be a sweet game compared to this pile?

Doesn't interest me in the least.

This game will live and die on the question of whether or not the "witching" portion of the gameplay is fun.

This game looks sub-standard, I hope they have seriously improved the AI because the previous version looked insultingly poor !

All I’m saying, many of the games we see now have familiar contents if not too familiar. There is a very, very thin line between borrowing elements from one game to make another that is better, and between copying an entire game recipe while throwing a girl instead of a guy and hope for people to not know the difference. You obviously missed the point of my whole argument, granted I didn’t put more than two lines, but my point was and still is that we gamers might be too hard to please, and we might be graphic-whores, but we are not stupid From what' I’ve seen from the game-play videos, it's a pretty game but the aiming is touchy, the animation are stiff, and the voice-acting is as bad as American dubbed anime. From the pics that game doesn't even look good enough for the xbox let alone the xbox 360 or "gen now" system. The graphics looks like an early PS2 game.

This game will flop hard for many reasons. The biggest being that it was made by atari, who has yet to make a AAA 3D game. Atari=worst company.

Tried the asian version of bullet witch - Enemies AI was horrible and the game camera was all over the place. Hopefully Atari patched them properly; I might just give it a second look ...

I dont have live, so i dont get my whole game? Look at resident evil 4. 2 extra costumes per character, 2 new modes when you beat the games, and 4 extra weapons. Now they charge for all that extra stuff. Is this the "next gen"

This game looks pretty good. Reminds me a little of Devil May Cry. Isnt this great, 360 is getting some kick ass games and its only going to continue. Its good to be a 360 owner. I love action, third person shooters. I could give a sh*t about RPG so the 360 is the system for me. I love guns and glory and the ps2 and ps3 are yet to compare in this category. All those RPG's the ps2 had were so damn stupid. What is it with Japan and these fairy games. Magic, swords, dworfs, thats all an RPG. Kinda like China and their ninja's and Karate. Japan and their fairy games. I'm a 360 fan and really thats it and I love when games such as the ones mentioned in the article come our way. I never want to hear the 360 "has no games" like most ps2 fanboys raged last gen. Not happening this time around and RPG's dont justify whether or not a system has games or not.

This game just doesn't hold any interest for me, I just got Gears a month and a half ago, Crackdown just came out (which I don't have yet), I'm saving up for other games that won't be released until March, seems like a bad time for them to release it and I'd have to say that my prediction is that it will flop.

The critics don't seem to favor it. I played a demo... wasn't impressed. Cavia developed Drakengard, another average game. Don't get your panties in a bunch over this one.... trust me.

Yet another 360 shooter... they must really want us to practice our aim in time for Halo 3. Are there any non-shooter games to look forward to on 360 in 2007? (All I can think of is Guitar Hero... )

shadowrun is similar to this but looks so much better, the focus is on multiplayer which is what everyone wants nowadays, check it out

oh **** haha the brain in the movie was DOPE. It's all ...weeeeuooooohhhahhhhhhhh nanananana weeeeeheeheeheehh... Hands down: the best brain sound effect since like, 50's B Grade Sci-Fi. ...It should be nominated for the "Best Brain SFX in a cheesy 3rd Person Shooter" award, at the Video Game Awards. XD ...Kidding aside, I wouldn't say that Atari is out of the woods yet on this title, but if the game doesn't take itself too seriously, it could end up being sort of campy/funny .

this is why im tiring already of my 360...too much of the same...too...many...shooters...*passes out*

how do any of you play different games? everyone is so concerned with originality and if its "ripping" from this game or that. who cares, its just a game that is meant to entertain. how many movies do you watch that have basically the same story idea with just different actors yet people still watch them undoubtedly.

No no BW is not bad. It won't touch the likes of Gears or Lost Planet but it's very tactical after you get a hang of the spells and the control. The wall thing looks stupid but it's what keeps you alive when there're targeting lasers all over you. Once you're powerful enough to throw lightnings, tornados and meteor storms the fun factor will kick in.

If the company is financially trouble it probably did its best on bulletwitch to get back on its feet.Just a thought...But the game sounds cool.

if ghost rider is ripping DMC and GOW, IMHO, it must be a great game people should play. Games are for people to enjoy instead of worthshipping.

I'm very happy with this news, mostly for Atar. They need some good games and this might bring them back up.

Bullet Witch looks like the best game Atari has made in a very long time! I have to say that I am excited to play Bullet Witch!

As game development costs ramp up, if they continue making 'passable' games like that, they're not going to be able to sustain themselves for too long. It's a lot more competitive now than it was in the PS2 days. Go on, keep making your 2nd echelon games, leave the outstanding or actually worth playing games for better developers to make. Sure 7.0 may be passable as your best game, as is getting a C grade in class. But when it's competing against 8+'s and 9+'s, and charging the same money, I know what else I'd rather be playing. Gamespot may be hard graders, but their games did not score any higher from other publications either. Their track record is that of a developer that produces average games. You may like them if you're really into the genre, but chances are you can find better games to buy. The design on the main character in the cover art looks attractive. If it wasn't for that, I doubt anyone would even talk about the game.

I hope this game does well, Atari certainly need it!

This game was already reviewed by Gameinformer. Its pretty mediocre, I think it got a 6.5 rating. I might check it out though.

50 bucks eh? That's unique, but this game looks as if it's just another run and gun game where you've got not much to care about but shoot.

Props to Brendan Sinclair, for his style of humor. He makes even the mundane sound hilarous.
