Bungie Adds Weapon Crafting In Destiny 2's The Witch Queen Expansion

The Witch Queen Showcase reveals the brand new weapon crafting system.

Comments

Bungie's The Witch Queen showcase revealed that weapon crafting is coming to Destiny 2 for the first time in The Witch Queen expansion. The first of every new weapon has to be crafted, which means that players won't find these in chests or as engrams initially.

For example, the Glaive is an all-new melee weapon archetype, but the only way to earn this, and any other new weapon, is through crafting. The new system is meant to increase customization and give players control with combat-focused crafting. Weapon crafting includes a progression system where players will need to complete objectives with their crafted weapon to skill up, which makes the weapon more powerful over time.
