Recent release Battlefield Hardline, which launched less than two weeks ago on March 17, is now available for just $40 at Best Buy and Amazon. That special price applies to all versions of the game: PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.

Alternatively, both Best Buy and Amazon have the Hardline Deluxe editions for $50.

Best Buy's deal expires at the end of the week, though it's unclear how long Amazon will have the cops-and-robbers shooter available at the discounted price.

GameSpot reviewer Miguel Concepcion scored Hardline a 7/10 in his review earlier this month. He praised the game's franchise-first multiplayer modes such as Hotwire and Blood Money, but lamented dimness of the AI in its story mode.

Maybe you would think twice about ordering stock from Electronic Arts next time, Best Buy and Amazon.

This is why I don't understand all the people that need to buy a game on day 1, or worse pre-order. Always a better deal if you wait. And it seems the wait is getting shorter this generation.

I REFUSE to buy any other battlefield product until EA wakes up and recognizes their consumers as human beings. I preordered BF4 and to my surprise, my game had a glitch where checkpoints wouldn't save and achievements for story lines wouldn't be rewarded. I decided to play the story straight through without turning it off to complete the game and get my just deserts. To my surprise the game froze at the beginning of the closing cinematic and i lost all progression for the third time. I then placed 4 tickets on 4 different accounts on their website, and to my surprise, not one received a response. Its safe to say I will not be purchasing any future battlefield games until I feel I have been rightfully compensated for their poor product/customer support. Although this is a whole new game, I hope this opens the eyes of some of you optimistic gamers out there. EA needs to get there crapola together.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Battlefield 4 had a shit campaign in my opinion, despite the fact I played for the achievements. It's really unfortunate about the situation you had though. I'm only interested in a few EA games and Dead Space would be one of them.

As a big fan of the BF franchise I have to admit that after playing the beta of BF: Hardline I just wasn't impressed by the simplicity of the game . Its pretty clear that EA attempted to capture that causal COD audience by deviated from the complexity of previous BF games with BF: Hardline. What EA failed to understand in that quest is that fans of the BF series play Battlefield games because of its complexity and not the lack of. So in essence that attempt by EA has really damaged the franchise in the eyes of its hardcore base.

Yay! That's what you get for selling a $30 BF4 expansion for $120 EA! I hope this game tanks so that they can learn a lesson about acceptable business practices.

It's so wonderful to see these dumb, loud and bloated aaa bowel movements fail horribly. Visceral already has its one foot in the grave.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Losing Visceral would be a real shame, unless someone picked them all up in a new studio. They're extremely talented people, currently shackled to shallow AAA turds. I hate seeing a strong developer get shafted by their publisher. -_-

You mean like Full Moon who created the Deadpool and Transformer games?

Rare also comes to mind why have them work on the new Killer Instinct game when you can have them do Kinect games. I don't even want to mention Conker...

If they already got this game at 40 dollars already than is a pretty obvious the game did not sell very well where EA wanted it to. My guess is that the game has only sold so far 1 million copies. Smh Viseral you should of just made DS4 instead of this..

This is great news. Keep speaking with your wallet, game obviously is not selling like they hoped, so they want to sucker you in with a "deal". Consider, $40(base game) + $xxx (DLC) they still want to milk you. No thanks, I'll pass. Game will be dead by next year anyways, like all Battlefields.

<< LINK REMOVED >> bf4 is pretty alive. I play on it.

I elected not to get this game, I didn't even get bf4 at full price. I got it when it was less than 15 bucks.

There has to be something different.

I went to buy destiny on pc and found out there's no pc version:( I have a ps4 but I'm not really a console gamer. Kb/mouse is my preferred method.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> Yeah no Destiny on PC because, the community would not go for having a game stripped during the development process for some "expansion", thats just my guess honestly. Or maybe they wanted a console only "MMO" lol.

I also am a KB/Mouse preference kind of gamer. I feel your pain =[.

My thing was I got BF3 and then I got Premium and as soon as BF4 came out, all of the BF3 servers started to die out and it was sad to me because I had a lot of fun on BF3. So I don't want to buy a game that's only going to last for a year tops because that's not the PC gaming I grew up on, hell we still play Quake 1, 2, 3 and 4, servers are still up and running.

I have ps4 too and I bought it for Bloodborne, MLB the show, Until Dawn and whatever else comes out that is exclusive but at this point I feel like I wasted $400 because of this being the "remastered generation".

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> I wasted $400 bucks but I'm glad my brother and my cousin get good use out of it. I was so excited for the ps4 but as of now, nothings convinced me. Infamous second son was a huge let down. I hate how they went away from the tone of infamous 1 and went with a disney version of infamous with a douchey character and a story line that doesn't make sense.

I feel the same way and I like first light better than second son. I think second son was a tech demo to show off some of the ps4'same capabilities. I wish there was more launch games or something, anything by now.

<< LINK REMOVED >> I didn't play first light. Apparently they gave it for free, but I missed it lol. I'm not putting any money toward that franchise anymore. Started off great then they said, you know lets change the look cause greg miller complained about the voice. what the heck?

I don't like this sophomoric 10th grade humor.

Game looks like good but not that great, shadows were still a probably, city was DEAD. It was not lively. AA was bad. It looked more colorful, but it wasn't really that great.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> yeah you console player have it MUCH worse because it is the accepted "norm" on your platforms. Why buy a game for $60 and then buy a premium package that isn't even available and by the time it launches they're going to be trying to sell you battlefield 5 and what? you guessed it.. another premium package that wont even be out until they want to release 6 lol... and so on and so on and so on...

really turned me off, but that is just my opinion. I'm used to games having more longevity than just one year.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> I agree. Personally I was waiting until a premium edition came out, retail version, With the game plus premium I was going to wait until the end yr. I don't like alternating between this and BF. BFBC was great. I don't know why they refuse to continue that.

Why can't FPS take a yr off? whats wrong with every two yrs? expect the games to be crap. The games take longer to develop more than they did ps3/360. So if you get something thats rushed every two years, its going to be sh-t

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> Serious question for you. Why do you have a PS4 if you're not really a console gamer? I mean, you have the console for playing a particular type of game? I accept that kb/mouse is your preferred method. If you want to play Destiny and it's not available on PC...AND you have a PS4, it seems like an obvious concession to make.

Just wondering if you meant, you don't like to play FPSes on console.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> I don't like to play fps on console after discovering the joy of kb/mouse. I bought a ps4 for the exclusives. I bought it for infamous I was a huge fan. But That franchise shot itself in the foot and metal gear made its way to pc while I was building mine. So now I only game on pc. The ps4 is getting good use, my brother uses it daily. But I do regret buying it.

Before anyone says bloodborne, not my type of game. Metal gear was another reason but when it came to pc, I elect to get it on pc instead. Maybe uncharted will get me to play my ps4 again, but I haven't been impressed with what I see. Hopefully that changes.

Wow that's even faster than The Order:1886. It's a shame fans of the series get screwed over so hard by buying early but then again you'd think they would've learned not to trust Battlefield after BF4's launch.

<< LINK REMOVED >> or any lauch quite frankly. I always tell my brother he should wait, he doesn't listen. Within a week or two game is back to preorder prices, 15, 10 dollars off. I remember NBA 2k15. Day one, ten dollars off. They didn't even wait. On the day of release, there was a deal for 50 dollars.

Lesson learned from that day forward.
